So, about a half hour ago, I was getting a little hungry and figured I'd have dinner. I heated up some chili, and while I was at it, I fed our elderly cat. He gobbled down about half of it while I had my chili.
Shortly after we'd both finished, he came back in the kitchen and stood behind my chair, then proceeded to make this unearthly howl. I've never heard any animal make noises like that. He was crouched in a weird way, and then he threw up all over the place. He kept on going and going until there was a massive puddle of warm, smelly-fishy liquid all over the floor. It was like that scene from Team America. As soon as he was done, he apparently felt better. I grabbed some paper towels and he walked off.
So I started cleaning it up, but the smell and the warmth hit me. I wasn't feeling so well myself, from the chili. Next thing I know, we now have a puddle of liquid cat-yak and premasticated chili mixed with stomach bile covering the kitchen floor. At this point, the cat comes back in and walks through it, and tracks it in little paw-prints before I can stop him.
Eventually I got it all cleaned up, but it still smells a little rank in here.
I just hope he's feeling better. I'm not, just yet.
I know my bf is going to be glad he wasn't home this evening!
