Thumbs down I refuse to dance as a COP !!!

Today the secretary of the Strip-o-gram Company called me to do a bachelorette show tonite with another stripper.

The girls want the arresting officer act, with us dressed in police uniforms.

I told the secretary flat out. No Way!!!

What do you all think? In 2006 this act needs to be put to rest. Too much trouble.

Can't we just show up as a cowboy/indian . LOL

Well, if you're that against it, don't do it........... But it's a classic for bachelorettes, AND it's money.

We don't make money by refusing such requests. This is not the same as refusing to provide extras. If you refuse a booking on such a trivial "principle", you may find yourself losing other booking requests that you WANT to do.

You both are correct. It is hard to turn down that $$$.
It is just about stripping in that costume that can cause problems.
I do not want to turn down a bachelorette party, believe me.
And this job is an easy $200-300. That does turn me on.

    I'll think about it!!!

What's there to think about? I'm pretty sure you've already been passed up on the assignment. No booking agent is going to want to work with someone who has a "costume" preference....

    Hi cinnamonkisses,
    That is your opinion. WFC
I can turn down a job, and not be singled-out in the future. If they hire another dancer for this job, so be it.
Our company has plenty of guys who will perform as police officers, with no problem.

    Thanks anyway.

The point I was making that YES you can turn down a job, BUT what is the likelyhood that she may put you at the top of her choices because of such an immature reason?

Hmmm lose $200-$300 inorder to wear a stupid ass cop costume (that's gonna be on the floor soon anyway) or Keep my stance and be broke... hmmm

    LOL Whatever!

That was the point I was trying to make. I guess he just passed it by.

    Bridgette,

You may also be missing my point.

I have done hundreds of these type characters in the past, when putting handcuffs on a girl was OK. Maybe 10 years ago.

In this day , I PERSONALLY, do not feel portraying an officer of the law is being "trivial" as you put it. This act has been played-out.

The bottom line of this business is for everyone to have a fun time, and be safe.

And of course, for me to make some money on the side.

    I love dancing girl.

Use a Canadian Mountie, British Bobbie, or French Genderme uniform instead. Besides they look nicer.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

Or switch without telling the dancers and wear a Fugitive Task Force windbreaker. Say it's some outstanding arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance. I bet at least one dancer will freak out.

Sooo, first you said I'm correct, then you get huffy and say I'm missing the point? LOL Sounds like somebody didn't take his meds today

If I were a booking agent dealing with someone like you, I'd boot his/her ass right off my list.

I'm not understanding what you have against the cop costume. Is it out of style or just like morally wrong?
    Could someone explain?

what's the big deal about dressing as a cop for all of what? 5 minutes? before it's on the floor as already mentioned?
you know, the school-girl thing is super played out and i don't wear the school girl outfit often, but it's still the best money i make when i wear it. so i do sometimes, i don't see the big deal about the cop thing. when a certain costume or character makes good money that's why it get's "played out", i just don't see the big deal here.

*note to self* why am i still sitting here? must tear self away from SW and start preparing for tonight...
Oh, I musta took a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

    Hi Hardkandee,

I think it is in bad taste and yes played-out. The act doesn't work for me , but other dancers can and do work this act, and rock with it.

All I suggest to the secretary is for her to sell a newer, more real act for the customer.

Furthermore, getting rid of an employee because they turn down a job is complete BS.
The arresting police officer act is "old school", "hokey","unrealistic","stupid".

Hell Yah, the bottom line is what is stuffed into my g-string,all said and done.
That is what the girls really want to see.

Why some hostile approaches to the subject?

PS I just danced at a hotties 32 nd B-Day party on Saturday at a beauty salon.

FUN-FUN-FUN. so much for getting the boot. LOL, LOL....

To my understanding its similar to our school girl outfit. Ya know youve seen many chics wear it and some day in and day out at your club.
They where it b/c they make money in it - why change a good thing?

BTW, army fatigues make me feel down thinking about the people over there in the war. Why dont you try something like SWAT team or whatever?

not true. it's about the fantasy, the whole thing, not just a penis flopping around in some girls face. this is a fact that i think a lot of female dancers lose sight of once-in-awhile as well.

I am a secretary at a strip-o-gram company. I don't tell the customers what they want, they call looking for a guy to come to their party dressed as a cop. I get a lot of requests for fireman too.

Yes, it is boring, and yes, it is played out, but most of these ladies are seeing a male stripper for the first time, so it is all NEW to them.

Obviously if you have a lot tattoos or peircings then the cop look won't work for you. The best way for you to get requested in your theme costumes is to have photos of yourself dressed in your costumes for you online profile. So, for instance, if you have a goth look, and dress as a vampire (very sexy, I might add), then the ladies will see this, request a vampire, and you will be the only dancer at your agency that does the vampire bit. Everyone has a cop costume, but you alone will get the vampire requests. And vampire works for Blade (Wesley Snipes) or Lestat (Tom Curise), Even Antonio Banderas played a vampire once. So work your look, and you will be one sexy blood sucker!!

If you don't wish to do the Cop show anymore, then retire it. Or you could freshen it up by adding comedy (Roscoe P. Cotraine, Barney Fife??) or changing your cop theme to be more like a detective with suit and trench coat. Detectives are also very sexy (Miami Vice had women creaming their panties for years!!), can be an easy act to put together, and you would have a one of a kind bit that can still land you those cop requests, but would be a lot more memorable.

I myself am going to perform at a bachelor party tonight and they requested (yawn) a naughty nurse. Oh well. It is about the money, and I will offer sponge baths and all the crap that I have been doing at parties for years. At least I don't have to go to the club tonight and deal with that drama and headache!

    Hello Paris,

    You got the deal.

Yes, I have photos at my agency. The women usually request or pick a stripper.

As you know, thats how it works.

I love your ideas about keeping this new, like the Miami Vice Dectectives.
That is what I have been doing for years , keeping it fresh, up to the times.

As I said, I have absolutely not a problem with my other boys doing the gig tonite, they are my boys we work together, we have each others backs.

By the way, I'm off to a different bachelorette party tonite. My costume fits perfect to the girls latino culture--- Zoro. El Muchacho.

I don't understand.. even if an outfit is "played out" the main issue should be about what your customer wants, they are the ones paying you. Besides, that theme is sexy!

    Hi exotisch23,

It always been about the fantasy and acting out the characters as we dance for the customer.

I can make any show I do hot and sexy for the women, but I no longer am doing the cop jobs.

Morally I believe it to be wrong in this era. IMPERSONATING an officer can be taken out of context these days. And one day it will happen for the worse.

People are f***ing whack nowadays, read the papers , watch the news, get educated.

That bachelorette party last nite was in a bar/ restaurant. Dressing like a cop around an establishment can be taken wrongly by patrons not with the party.

Hell, I can give you 1 million reasons why its a poor idea today.

I am great at what I do and I love doing these jobs, not cop jobs.

    Thanks Brock.

Get educated? LOL That's irrelevant my dear. The point is what the customer likes. You don't need to talk to people like that around here.
