There's been plenty of debate so let's open this discussion to the experts....CUSTOMERS. You've been holding back all across the country. What don't you like at your former favorite club and can we, the girls, change it? What do strip club lovers between 35-65 want to see at your favorite club?

Honestly, my former favorite club did something really stupid about two years ago. They raised their LD prices from $25 (already the highest in the city) to $30 a dance and did it strictly for the purposes of raising their take from $5 to $10 a dance. That's right, the prices went up but the dancers didn't see a dime of it. Brilliant management logic since, unless the total number of LDs performed per week was cut by more than 50% there was no way that the house could make less money than they were already making on dances.

I didn't mind the increase all that much since I was doing Champagne with my favs and the price of VIP did not go up. However, eventually many of the more popular dancers left for other clubs as business dropped dramatically. I stopped being a regular customer when it got to the point where the dayshift had absolutely no one who interested me. The club is a medium to high contact club but I have almost completely abandoned it in favor of minimal contact clubs closer to home and with reasonable enough dance prices to attract happy customers who are spending money on happy dancers

I guess I would say that what I want is reasonable dance prices and minimal club interference in the dancer’s ability to earn-giving good dancers a reason to want to work and at least a fair shot at them being in a good mood while doing it.

Also, no stupid t-shirt promotions or babe parades every hour that take dancers away from their customers-the guys that are spending money on them. Last week I spent four hours in a club and my dancer was either on stage rotation (two stages) or doing a $#@&*$ 2 for 1 t-shirt dance for 40 minutes out of every hour. This is just plain stupid. Leave the dancers alone to cultivate their business. Good dancers know what to do when confronted with a customer and his wallet. Bad dancers need constant forced 2 for 1 dances to attract business.

And speaking of bad dancers….when did amateur night all of a sudden become day and night shifts seven days a week? Sorry but I can find women on every shift in every club I go to that SHOULD NOT BE STRIPPING. They are either too stupid, too ugly or to obnoxious to be expecting men to want to see them naked. They are harassing us and making it more difficult for quality women to earn by either scaring customers away or offering to blow them for the price of a dance.

Frankly, I don’t know what dancers can do about any of this but hey, have at it! You've all got my support.

Sorry for the lengthy rant but I don’t go to clubs on Saturday nights, I’m bored silly and well….you asked….

Everything Yoda said, with special attention (in my view) to the fact that dancer quality is poor and getting worse. In too many clubs, they're letting anything that has a pulse and a remotely feminine appearance get on stage and hassle customers for pity dances in an effort to boost house fee income. Couldn't believe how far dancer quality had fallen on my last Providence SC trip.

Again, this has nothing to do with dancers and everything to do with competent management--or the complete lack thereof.

    What Yoda said......

I would like to see Lapdances come to Portland clubs, not these hokey Oregon couch dances where they make the dancers lean over you with a pillow. They don't have to be heavy grinding, extras laden affairs neccesarily. Medium contact is fine-sexy and sensual, but straddle me for gosh sakes!!

I wish the dancer's could do something about it, but they can't, I hate the way management will nickel and dime EVERYONE - dancers, staff, customers - when they totally don't need to....the money's flowing already, excessive greed just [email protected]#$'s things up

This is why I don't bother going anymore (though I have to admit to not being as hard core as the rest of these guys.) Hopefully I won't get the spanking I got on the blue side regarding this.

Strip club management is too unsophisticated business-wise to know even how to revise prices or add features. They just seem to constantly try to find ways to increase their own short-term gains. Half of the stuff they do hurts their own business and/or drives dancers either away or forces them into legally untenable situations. Plus the stupid ones are normally just plain shysters, or even quasi-criminals, who don't care about anyone working for them or about their own 'reputation'. Perhaps this is water seeking its own level, for the clubs that known as 'extras' clubs. But it certainly hurts the industry.

As for myself, I just go to the club that serves the best food. It has somewhat honest, but very wimpy, management.

What do I want in a club? Briefly this : honest ethical management concerned about the club and dancers reputations (such as they are), reasonable prices with a good dancer cut, choice of worker status (employee or contractor), negotiated group health plan offering, avoidance of "air dances", no smoking, liquor consumption regulated, modest door charge, no need for video monitoring in the 'VIP' rooms, security for everyone, liberal hours at least on days they are open, quality control over dance and bouncer staff. Yes, my choices are for the common good, not just mine, and reflect my maturity.

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

LOL! Aww. Your input is valuable too it's just that the under 35s seem very happy. It's the over 35s that are backing off. But if you're displeased post away, my friend. You have the Optimist seal of approval.

Reading some of the posts here makes me realize how lucky I am, living in New Jersey for the past 17 years (and in Manhattan before that). My own preference is for super-high contact but super-low grindage. My favourite dancer strips off my shirt, belt, watch, and (as I mentioned in a different thread today) also takes control of my wallet and keys. She keeps her thong on, but takes everything else off -- including earrings, which once caused an interesting episode when she dropped the back of one earring and we were on our knees amongst others' feet looking for it. This stripping-down ritual does sometimes draw some anxious glances from others in the very public couch dance room, especially when she takes off my belt (which she sometimes gives a few playful cracks) and people may be wondering where it's going to end. Anyway I do keep my pants on! The couch dances are very intimate in terms of skin-to-skin contact. I always buy a bunch of dances, since it takes a while to get ready (and to reverse that whole process when we're done -- and to retrieve my wallet and keys!).

I don't think I'd go to the clubs at all in a state where contact was not allowed. I'm too spoiled!
Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.

I learned a long time ago there's no sense getting all riled up every time a bunch of idiots give you a hard time. In the end, the universe tends to unfold as it should. Plus I have a really large penis. That keeps me happy.

What do strip club lovers between 35-65 want to see at your favorite club?

I want to see Tart, Paris, Cinnamonkisses, Emily, and, well just too many to list.

Us under 35ers would like that also!

I would think if they want more money they could charge more at the door insted of jacking up prices of dances. So many guys dont get dances at least they would get more out of them this way.

I wish I had the option to buy the girl a drink without it being $20.
I guess I'm so poor that each drink like that actually does mean one less dance I can buy that ngiht. LOL.
This isn't to say that I object to paying for a dancer's time at a SC. A drink and her time aren't always synonymous.

    What else:
I don't like it when the girls on stage can't pick their songs. I don't think they do either.

I cannot think of anything that could suck me into strip clubs but the following list has a fighting chance:

    - Attractive, educated, sweet, honest, kind, sincere girls
    - Good music
    - Clean place
    - Comfortable lounge chair
    - Sexy and attentive waitresses
    - Good food

I'd suggest this....let dancers name their own price for LD's. If a girl wants to give 'em away for cheap, she should be able to, as long as she can make tipout.

Conversely, if a girl can demand $50 a dance, and get it, she should be allowed to do so.

    Let the free market rule.

this doesn't really seem to solve anything. just a momentary redistribution of initial wealth, for the club. I don't see this helping out the girls too much.

at first, I was onboard with you on this, but then thinking..it would only cause more problems than helping out anyone.

I mean, it would probably not mean much more money for the dancers as the clubs would most likey (if they don't already) ask for a percentage of the dances which, doesn't matter much, given the expected cost of a typical LD. so whether it's a 20 or 50 dollar LD, it doesn't help out the dancer that much if the club is taking a 50% cut, instead of a dollar cut.

Which it most likely would, if the LD's were to be a sudden cash cow. Also, problems with customers as ones paying extravagant amounts would probably expect more touchy stuff and depending on the dancer and/or club, this might mean trouble.

Also, between dancers, if one found out what the others were charging, it could be like a 'price is right' scenario, in which everyone would be looking to undercut the others. 'oh, she's offering 45$ LD's, I'll give you one for 40$ and so on' I see many fights happening b/c of this.

    ------
As for the op, yeah, some of it doesn't apply to me, but what I want from a club is...(given the usuals, cleanliness, girls, etc)

-NO food. I don't see any reason for this. If someone wants to bring their own in or it's for a party, etc. fine. but given the club and that they already upcharge for drinks. I think food in a SC is just a distraction that no one should really care about. Digestion is not my primary concern upon entering a SC.

-music. should be varied and applicable to the dancer(s). Also, should not be overly loud where it doesn't matter (i.e., away from the stage(s), dance areas, etc.). Also, I don't care if there is a DJ. I find what they do kinda cheesy anyways. And after reading some of the stuff here, they can be a major detriment/pita for some dancers.

-drinks. the bar should be well attended, stocked and have a decent bartender(s). there should be 'house' drinks, Top Shelf and 'well' drinks available at all times.

-seating. should be available and varied. Although I generally like to move about and stand around at the bar and stuff, there should be public areas, some more private, seating areas (not only the Champagne and VIP) and places where there are tables with your seating. I think a nice variety would be cool and comfy for a range of people.

-layout. I think the club layout is something that can help a lot with traffic and the overall impressions that people get when entering a club. the layout should allow people to enjoy their time, without being up against one another, like it's primetime subway traffic hours.

I always thought it would be cool if a place had an outdoor's area too. I mean, I bet most local laws would not allow it, but I mean there are outdoor areas with porn, I think, so I would think in the right area, high enough from prying eyes and walled/gated or something, that it would be possible to have a place that had an outdoor patio or something which would be nice for summer, or general smoking so one doesn't have to go outside the front or anything. Many bars and clubs have it, so why not SC's?

I just generally like variety. I don't like it when a place is too set in their one-minded ways. Also, if I can't enter a club and have the general comforting feeling like it's a cool local bar or something, then I'll be on edge all night and won't enjoy myself.

Music that isn't so loud that you have to screem at each other. Mix of music, I stopped going to one club that all they played most nights was ganger rap. This club is in the bum-fuck WV and they are playing ganger rap to a bunch a rednecks and gas well drillers, everybody complained but that what the DJ liked to play.

Ladies drinks are annoying, only one club here doesn't have them.

Loud music increases alcohol sales. The ATM's make the club owners feel clever. The small % of dancers that are rude think their job is to be rude and edgy. They want everyone to be as miserable as they are.
People will keep going to the club but more and more they won't spend.
I want these club owners to entertain me and they aren't doing it.

How can you have a club that caters to a 35-65 demographic? You could try, but stupid customers and stupid dancers won't let it happen.

Yeah, thanks. *highfive* I mean, I don't understand why there wouldn't be one by now, right? SC's I've been to are no worse than any club/bar and the stuff that goes on, so besides cost I would see the outside atmosphere are simply making a place nicer to visit.

Around here, there's either a nice water-view or some high up (though in New York, there's always a building higher than you but still) building where a general public could not view the activities within, yet the city's skyline is just so nice to look at. Or in the western parts of NY, there's the great outdoors to consider.
