OK, so does "spiritual, but not religious" mean the same thing as "superstitious, but too lazy to go to church"?![]()
Not that I'm any of those things, except perhaps too lazy to go to church.![]()

"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"
LOL! I think it means, "I'm deep and caring, but I still want to party and fuck."

For me, I think it stands for this:
I believe there is something in some way/shape/form out there, but I don't agree with the church or the cult-like following they call "religion."

I am with Deni
I'm about the same as Deni. I believe in a higher power and higher meaning to life but not in any specific religion.
It can mean anything really.
I'd think most people say it meaning "I believe in God but I don't go to church."

i see no point in going to church because God is not found in church. he/she/it, whatever, is not anywhere specifically, but everywhere and in everything/everyone. religions, rituals, words - i see how it can be comforting, and some people like organized stuff, but i don't see the point. i have faith, i just know, always knew, had been given more than enough truth in those few times of doubt, and that's enough. and for the record i'm not superstitious (as in walking under ladders and black cats, etc).
when i'm near the ocean or in the woods, i'm alone and silent - that's when i feel God the most. Church is just a building. a symbol.
there are enough people who go to church/temple who are total hypocrites. and then there are whose who don't follow any specific faith, yet have naturally lived a life of virtue. my maternal grandmother is an atheist, yet have been a total angel to everyone who crossed her path. my father and his parents and Catholics and are evil assholes.
"The herd walks off the cliff because the herd are not a group of individuals - the herd is a mass of followers and followers follow the path of cowardice."
Well i believe in god, i'm a christian, but i never go to church. I don't think you have to go to church to worship god/higher power.
Never look down on anyone, unless you are helping them up!
