    Default shy newbie questions

First of all... Hi, this is my first post. I've decided I want to be a stripper, at least part time. I'm going tonight to check out a club, not audition yet, I want to get a feel for it before I dive in. I'm excited but scared to death!!
Looks alone, I'm not worried about being hired. But dancing on stage is making me the most nervous.
I've been looking at this site all day and it's helped a lot. There's a few more things I'm curious about though...

Do you wear the same outfit all night? If I'm working 3 nights a week how many outfits should I start with?...

And where do I buy this stuff? Is there somewhere here, pictures, to look at outfits, to get an idea of what I should wear? I'm lost...
Do I start out in what kind of clothes and go down to lingerie, and then nothing? Do I work the room with just lingerie or what (nude club)?

Are the customers suppose to pay you before you do anything for them?
In a table dance... do you just dance in lingerie, are you suppose to take it off?
In a lap dance... how much contact is involved?

I feel a little embarrased asking some of these, and I'm sure I'll feel a little better after watching some tonight.

Any advice is appreciated! This is a wonderful website, btw.

A lot of your questions vary by club, and you'll know more just by going to the club and checking it out. Make sure you buy a dance or two as well, so you can see how that goes in your area. As for how often to change throughout the night... I tend to stay in the same outfit, but I'm in California. If they allow smoking in your club, you are going to stink like hell after a couple of hours, so you'll need to change. Plan for that!

She's right, you really just need to check out the clubs in your area. You'll see what the girls wear. And even if you are uncomfortable - I highly recommend buying a dance (or dances) from a girl you like the looks of. You can ask her questions if you like (make sure to tip her well) and also be able to see the protocal.

But, if a girl in my town were asking me these questions - then here are my answers:
(but even in one club, girls do things differently)

Do you wear the same outfit all night? If I'm working 3 nights a week how many outfits should I start with?...
I don't wear the same outfit all night. I like to pick around four outfits or so to rotate. It just keeps things interesting for me for stage. If it is a busy night and I'm off stage for a while and just getting dances, I'll stay in the same one for a long time. You don't want to waste time changing. Only do it when you're slow. Also I never change hair or makeup or anything, I like to stay recognizable for customers. To start I wouldn't go crazy with outfits. I'd buy maybe a few two-piece sets, bikini type tops, booty shorts or skirt sets. And maybe two little dresses. And thongs that you can wear with everything.

And where do I buy this stuff? Is there somewhere here, pictures, to look at outfits, to get an idea of what I should wear? I'm lost...
In my town there are specialty dancer shops - so you'll have to find out where they are. I buy stuff online sometimes though and that can give you an idea of looks. My favorite sites are www.snaz75.com www.liquiddreams.com and www.stripperzone.com I'll also check out ebay for deals. I'd start out simple and then decide what you're most comfortable in after a few shifts. I wouldn't get into costumes or garter belts or anything like that right away.

Do I start out in what kind of clothes and go down to lingerie, and then nothing? Do I work the room with just lingerie or what (nude club)?
I start out on stage in my outfit and if it's a two song set you take your top off by the end of the first and bottoms (thong if it's a nude club) during the second. For a three song set you just drag that out. I work the floor with my whole outfit back on. Does that make sense? I wasn't exactly sure of your question.

Are the customers suppose to pay you before you do anything for them?
This varies for girls. If you're talking about a private dance I collect the $ after. Unless I get a weird feeling about them then I politely ask for payment when we sit down. If you're talking stage dancing I just do my show and the good tippers get lots of attention and the lousy ones don't.

In a table dance... do you just dance in lingerie, are you suppose to take it off?
In a lap dance... how much contact is involved?
These you need to ask when you are hired. I dance in a nude club, so we take it all off for a private dance. In the places I've worked that offer dances at tables in addition to "in the back" I would leave my thong, because they were cheaper dances and I didn't want the guy sitting at the next table getting a free show. And in Oregon contact isn't involved during private dances.

Anyway, have fun - go for it! And definately spend some time in a strip club to familiarize yourself!

    Thanks for the advice guys!
Last night was great, I started working and stayed the whole night. It's going to take me a while to get use to a lot of things, the shoes, the pole, lapdances, but I think I'll get the hang of it eventually.
