Yes, I heard about Neosporin. Gonna give that a shot.
The Elmer's glue though....![]()
I love the elmer's idea! Why not- it's pretty much the same thing. And doesn't smell like rotten fish (is it just my lash glue that does?).

why would elmer's glue be a stretch? it's non-toxic....little kids eat it all the time...it's probably safer then some of the chemicals that people put on their face...like i know benzol peroxide is veery harsh...
also, i know there are similar tips but i don't believe anyone has mentioned the ones i have...just trying to help people out...

Lash glue made in the US, including the most widely used brand DUO, is made of latex and formaldahyde which gives the product it's crotch rot-esque aroma. Try Shuemura's, it's formaldahyde free, dries faster, and is orderless.Originally Posted by scarlett_vancouver
I guess the Elmer's glue would work. The only real concern I'd have is that without latex, the dried down glue would have no give to it, possibly making it uncomfortable or less durable than lash glue.
The only cheapie cosmetic trick I know is saving your used tea bags in the fridge to use as cold compresses for puffy eyes. Green tea bags ones have an added antioxident benefit.
just some beauty tips that i have read, use personally, have had passed on from my mother.![]()
renewing complexion- 1/2 cup coconut milk in microwave for 30 sec. stirred w/ 2 tblspns honey. massage into skin for 10 min. rinse w/ warm water. cocounut milk=lactic acid and honey hydrates.
steaming away facial impurities=swiss kriss (natural herbal laxative) mixed w/ 2 cups boiling water in a bowl. put cleansed face over bowl (as close as possible) w/ towel draped over head. stay in place for 10 min. and wipe face clean w/ clean towel. you should be able to see debris accumulation come right off.
rub cucumbers over your skin while bathing. it cleans your pores, tightens and softens skin and contains anti wrinkling hormones.
brewing a strong cup of nettle tea and poured over clean hair will promote growth. (leave on 10 min. then rinse)
brew a tea of one cup chopped walnuts w/ one cup water, strain the liquid and pour it over your head. leave on 30 min before shampooing. also brew an expresso or strong coffee if you'd like and leave on for 30 min. it will had sparkling hilights to you dark haired ladies.
for lighter haired women, chamomile tea sprayed on the hair and left for 20 min. (in the sun if possible) will add subtle hilights as well.
puffy eyes-apply hemorrhoid cream to area and tap gently to area, or keep baby teething rings in the freezer and apply to eyes for 10 min. i believe cold spoons also help.
adding 2 or 3 tblspns a day of wheat germ to your diet can get rid of nasty pimples quickly.
dab petroleum jelly where you would normally apply body spritz to keep the scent lasting longer. (so you don't have to keep applying it through the night and possibly transferring the scent to your customer.)
add rosemary oil to a loofah when scrubbing areas w/ cellulite. it helps to release excess water from the body which can contribute to cellulite.
getting rid of foot odor-mix one tblspn ginger w/ one tblspn cornstarch in a bowl. dust over clean feet w/ brush. each ingredient has antibacterial properties and absorbency.
varicose veins-witch hazel will temporarily constrict your blood vessles to make them less visible.
enlarged pores-mix a packet of raw sugar w/ enough lemon to create a spreadable mixture. rub it on the nose and chin and rinse w/ warm water.
dark circles under eyes-raw potato slices or tea bags (not herbal) w/ tea inside. squeeze a little so that the tea doesn't run down your face and make sure the tea is cool or it'll make your eye puffy.
best cleanser for oily skin-powdered milk w/ water. lemons are good for toner and you can finalize it all w/ a moisturizer.
there's more but i think that's enough, i may have said too much already.hope this can be of some assistance to you lovely ladies.
hahahahah omg I thought I was the only one who thought my DUO smelled like rotten vag!!! It almost makes me self conscious to use it!Originally Posted by Mia M
cupcake thanks for sharing, the elmer's tip is interesting but I think I would be too nervous to try it. Do you use it?

Yes, I have been using it for years, and I have never had a problem with it...and it is really easy to get off too because it is water based...Originally Posted by veteranprincess
i use my blow dryer to heat up my eyelash curler... just for a few seconds though, you don't want it too hot.
then after i use the mascara, I use the cool shot to dry them in place so that they stay as curled as possible.
It sounds ridiculous, but you'd be surprised. Up til now I never told anybody coz I was selfish haha.
I've heard of the nettle thing. It really helped my friend grow her hair out fast.

sleep with a deep conditioner on your hair and wrap it in a towel.. you'll wake up the next day with extremely soft hair once you wash it out and style it... its amazing

lemon juice+sun as well as chamomile helps to lighten blonde-ish hair

I want to add that body spray helps with bacne. I had small spots that cleared up with it. I just spray it on after bathing. And it smells better than medicated body washes too.
