    Default What would you do...?

So this week the Final Four is taking place in Indianapolis. We also have a feature here. My club expected a huge rush this weekend, so they asked all of us girls to pitch in and take extra shifts. My club has been really good to me, so I don't mind helping them out when they need it. Whatever. They also had tons of girls come in from affiliate clubs in two other cities. We had over 60 girls tonight, whereas we would have less than half of that on a typical Friday night.

The problem is, the crowd tonight was SMALLER than a typical Friday night crowd. For whatever reason, Final Four was just not bringing them in the way the club anticipated. So we had twice as many girls competing for fewer than the usual number of men. None of the house girls walked out happy tonight. EVERYONE made less than they normally would on a Friday night. Some girls had horrible nights, money-wise.

To top it off, cover was $20 (usually $7) and drink prices were all raised by a dollar. Nearly every customer all night long bitched about the high cover, the inflated drink prices, and therefore far fewer men were buying dances.

Here is my big problem: our house fee was TWICE what it would normally be. For more girls, fewer men, and fewer spenders due to the ridiculous cover and drink costs.

I don't know if the club needed to show corporate a big income this weekend because of final four or whether they needed to cover the cost of the feature, or maybe they just wanted to gouge us girls because they can. Either way, the burden shouldn't fall on us. Why do we have to pay EXTRA for a crappy night when most of us took time out of our lives this week to work extra shifts? This is how they repay us?

I don't know what to do, but I would like to make a formal complaint. I am a valuable asset to this club and if they are going to nickle and dime me like this they cannot expect any further favors from me in the future.

Any suggestions? Do I just need to suck it up?

    Slut,

I think you should complain. Really. If you don't, it's most likely other girls won't. Nobody will and everyone will be pissed. But don't complain LOUDLY... kinda mention it to them. "Hey, the house girls came in like asked, you know. Can you at least make the house girls fees lower?"

Sorry to say this but in my experience, strippers are a dime a dozen. At least that seems to be the owner/manager attitude. I can understand you being upset. They probably were trying to cover the cost of the feature. So take it as a lesson learned. Next time they pull shit like this where they're asking you to come in extra shifts...remind them those are your nights off, if they need you to come in it should be free house right? They will most likely say no but it's worth a shot. Sorry it was crappy for you.

    Oh hell yeh Lyssa !!

No matter how long you have been at the club and the type of money you bring into the club... you can and always will be replace-able. You are not an invaluable part of the club. Learn this lesson now before it bites you in the butt. Never "marry" any club.. always keep your options open.

As for having them make you work extra shifts... I agree with Lyssa. Regardless of the time of year it may be (final Four for you) the club should have an incentive for you to do those extra shifts (reduced house fee, etc)... if they provide no incentive do NOT go in.

Never do ANY club any favours as they won't repay it (or very rarely will repay the 'favour' as they may not see it as a 'favour').

    I'm at PT's, Tart.

The thing is, I *know* I am valuable to this club, whether they realize it or not. They are HURTING for girls right now. They don't want to fill the club with substandard girls, so they haven't been hiring everyone who auditions. They want to have a solid staff of beautiful, articulate women and we're hurting now because we haven't had many good prospects come in recently.

So I found out from another girl tonight that, indeed, we were being overcharged because they didn't bring in the amount of people they were hoping for and were using US to cover the cost of the feature.

When will clubs learn that if you treat us like shit, that is how we are going to treat you. I have admired my clubs business model up until now--they generally treat their dancers like valuable assets and try to run a really tight ship. But this shit is ridiculous.

I have considered writing an open letter to the management and giving a copy to everyone there. Maybe signed, maybe anonymously. They need a wake-up call. If they want an expectional staff they have to stop nickle and diming us like this.

Since PTs is part of a chain, you could easily email corporate, using an anonymous account should you wish. I think that would be the way to go, since they can tell your club what to do, and might not have been involved in gouging you.

my club did something similar during superbowl. lots of girls left after.
they didnt care. they made so much money and got so greedy..... shortstaffed for about a month but girls came back and new girls came. it's all about the bottom line to them.
trust me in their oponion you are not as valuable to them as you think.

hope for it to get better is all you can do. however i would at least ask for (as a valuable house gir)l to pay regular barfee
