    Default stripper workout

    Hi ladies,

Before I started dancing I used to work out 5 days a week and was in pretty good shape. Now I find myself too tired to make it to the gym at least twice a week but i have found my body is still staying where it is after 3 months. Can stripping be the best workout ever?? I am just kind of paranoid about gaining weight since I am not doing my old routine but I guess work is exercise too.

I've been gaining weight since I started dancing. Weird since everyone told me I'd be losing weight. Are you ordering take out alot while you work? I'm not...but I guess since I"m not "active" enough, I'm gaining the weight.

Oh well, I'm hittin the gym after a 4months hiatus. I can't wait!!

After I started dancing I began to eat whatever I wanted ie carbs. I work in a pretty busy club that keeps me moving around so maybe that is the trick.

I think I may need to refraise that..I'm not 'gaining' weight, I'm more so losing muscle. And I love me some muscles!

stripping is a workout for me. Also I sometimes miss meals because the club will be so busy! When it is busy it is hard to take a break, because than you will miss out on money.

Stripping is an awesome workout for me! I lost 15 pounds when I started dancing again last Fall, and I've kept it off and toned up since then.

I am a very healthy eater, but I do indulge in high-calorie (but healthy) meals on a regular basis and occassional desserts because I don't want to get too thin. I do try to avoid drinking alcohol and keep my calorie intake at work to a minimum.

I work in a busy Las Vegas club and I am on my feet walking around the club or giving dances (i.e. "working out") for 8+ hours a day at least 4 days a week. I compare stripping to pilates or yoga. It burns tons of calories and helps you tone and tighten up. I think we can all stand to get in some supplemental cardio workouts and light weight-lifting to stay toned and work on muscles that we don't engage while at work (my butt is shrinking something fierce these days, but my legs are rock hard.)

In fact, I am so happy with my body right now that I fear the day I have to stop dancing because I don't want to get out of shape again. I've been looking into post-stripping careers that will keep me healthy and in shape. So far, personal training and nutrition interest me. Any of you girls have ideas?

Yea, I can imagine if I did that pole stuff I would be losing weight, but I don't. It's not worth the risk..what can I say, I'm "overly" cautious. Anyway, wow, you get on stage 6x/night?? Wow, at my club I only get up there about 3x on weekdays and 2x on the weekend. There are so many girls working we are only on stage for 5min increments.

I will tell you that after ten years of being a personal trainer, competing in figure/fitness shows, and doing Pilates instruction, I was MORE SORE after a day at the club and after taking this exotic dancer workout class. And it isn't just the heels that do it...it's simply the workout every muscle group seems to get from being on stage, lapdancing, and just moving around.

Don't fear stopping dancing!! I'm a personal trainer who is now getting into dancing...if you want to add me to your AOL messenger if you have one go for it...and a good magazine to buy off the racks that will teach you a lot of things is OXYGEN MAGAZINE....

someone told me that the club im looking into has a lot of good pole dancers. i think that in itself would be a great workout. and im not really too scared of it either, some girls kinda are. i might even get a pole at home for it.
