So I've had a sore throat since Saturday of LAST week, and for some reason it's switching sidesand it's getting worse. Going to the doctor today to see what's up - my health insurance just kicked in so that helps.
Friday night I was driving home; got behind some jerkoff in a crappy old truck with a bunch of junk in the back and the tailgate down. Something fell out in front of me, there was a car in the lane next to me and a curb to my right. I had nowhere to go and couldn't stop in time so I ran over the thing. It cracked my transmission, all the fluid drained out in a puddle on the street, part of the bumper tore off and the battery housing is broken. I don't know what else. Of course the dude didn't stop, so I'm having to make a claim on MY insurance
I was out of a car all weekend because the claims adjusters don't work on weekends. Odd, considering it's one of the biggest insurance companies in the country! I'm waiting on the rental car people to pick me up now so I can get a car, go to the doctor, and hopefully get better and go to work tomorrow.
I got a C-R-A-P raise at work last week to go with my 90day review (an excellent review, just crap raise).
The only positive thing in all this is, PERHAPS with me out today, my so-called assistant (the one I've been trying to get replaced but the boss wants to give more chances) will do a crap job at holding down the fort and they'll see exactly how valuable I am. I'm sure it's wishful thinking to even HOPE I'd get a reconsideration on my currently CRAP raise tho

Ugh.
At least things are good on the relationship front.

Got antibiotic scrip so that should get better soon.
and my car is at the shop now to be fixed. Fortunately I had recently switched insurance companies so now I have better coverage, lower rates and lower deductibles to handle the car mess. It's all working out. Oh, and my sick days have just kicked in as well, so I don't even have to miss out on today's pay. After all those years of dancing, I can't tell ya how nice that is!
