    Another shoe question yay

I did a search but couldn't find a thread that really helped me much so sorry if there is one and I missed it.

I'm trying to find shoes to start out in, I never wear heels so I'm looking for something 4 - 5" maybe 6" tops so I don't kill myself and I'm on a budget. I checked out snaz and a couple other sites listed on here but I couldn't find anything for a newbie like me. Just wondering if anyone knew of any other sites or had some suggestions. Oh and I don't like open toe, they hurt so that makes the search even harder lol
Sorry to be a pain in the butt and thanks!

did you try Electriqueboutique.com? They have tons of shoes in many styles. And decent prices. Hope maybe that helps.

I would imagine open toed shoes are more comfy than closed toe. I personally would start out in 6in heels. They are alot less brutal on your footsies than 4-5 in heels.

The ones I've worn in the past always ended up cutting into the top of my toes/foot but I guess I can always give them another try.

And I'm suprised 6" would be better but I'll take your word for it, you know alot more about that than me haha hopefully I'll be able to walk in them

6" is better because it has a platform, so there isn't as much stress on your feetsies. I have a pair of 5" without a platform and they about KILL me everytime I wear them. Good luck!

Yes it's true about 6" being more comfy than lower heels. Don't start with anything that doesn't have a platform under your toes. And I'd suggest giving open toed another try. Most websites I've used, including snaz75 have been good about exchanges.
And when I started I felt most comfortable with an ankle strap. You can also get a square heel rather than the stiletto - it may feel more stable.

I've bought quite a few pairs from www.liquiddreams.com I like their selection.

Tape up your toes like ballet dancers, etc. do to keep the shoes from cutting into your toes (especially your big toes). Use the first aid waterproof (1/2") tape from Johnson and Johnson (in the round plastic case) that you can find in the bandaid section of your store. I always used it when I was a ballet dancer years ago to keep from getting terrible blisters, and I still use it today as an exotic dancer. Just make sure to tear off enough to wrap around your toe a few times so that tape doesn't come off while you dance. Hope this helps.

If you get clear top shoes heat them up a little bit ( hair dryer) they go on better and at the end of the night I run a little cold water over the top to keep the shape until they are all broke in then I leave the things alone.

Thanks for all the tips and links , I think I might have found a pair or two to try out. Also another quick question, the club I'm looking to work at is nude, any suggestions on really easy to get out of outfits? I can't picture myself trying to pull something down over my shoes and stay standing haha

Jante shoes are great, especially if you have wider feet. I wear an 8 in Jante and a 9 in all other brands. If you're on a budget for shoes and clothes, buy on Ebay! I've bought almost all my dance attire on there and it's amazing that I'll see the same outfits I own on other sites that cost double & triple the price. I looooove Ebay! Another thing to do about shoes is wear them around the house A LOT! You'll break them in and get used to wearing them and get used to "balancing" in them. First start out in 6 inch heels w/ a 2 inch platform and get used to those, before long you'll be buying 7 inch shoes and wearing them in the house wanting to wear those at the club. Good luck!

hi venomkissed, i think the easiest way to go for getting out of outfits is to go a halter neck dress until you get used to taking clothes off., make sure you buy outfits with a soft silky material to help it slide. then all you have to do is undo the neck(or pull it over your head) then slide the dress down to your hips. once you push it lower than the hips, it will usually just drop to the floor so you can simply step out of it

whenever i go shopping for outfits, when trying them on i always make sure they're easy to take off again, practice removing them in the changroom as you would in the club to give you an idea.

i also recommend not buying little strappy items that can catch your shoes before you get used to it.

    good luck

Ya skirts and dresses are super easy to remove. Also tops that are tied together, like bikini's.

And if you're nervous about getting out of the panties, which can be the most awkward if you're new to it, then get some of the clip off kind, or the ones that tie together at the sides. They are super easy to remove.

And if you are removing a pair by sliding them down your legs and bending over, a trick is to make sure you keep your feet close together and then pull the bottoms all the way over your shoes, even over your toes. Then you can just step out of them and they won't get caught on any straps or anything.

I have only one pair of 6 inch clear heels for now but I'd like to get more. I don't know any pole tricks as of yet. My shoes don;t have ankle straps, so I think I should probably get one. You guys help me out here: ankle straps: do they give more support even on these crazy heel heights??

Yes,ankle straps give more support and reduce slippage of the heels.
