Aww... Does this mean that I have to be either a wanker or a silent type? I can't be neither? Or both?
An interesting classification given in mr_punk's sig divides customers into lechers and suaves. It's presumably from this interview.Lecher: "His eyes. His body language - lots of shifting, sometimes posturing - looks starved for sex, almost maniacal. He's the guy who sticks a fifty in your string though so we know we better give him what he wants. But it's disgusting."
Suave: "Mr. Suave who's kind of the laid-back guy who mostly comes in alone. And these are the ones who want to get their card into your hand when you're doing a private with them. I mean they are lonely and somehow they want to make friends with the dancer. In one way or another he will try to connect you to his outside life. The seasoned ones are very relaxed, almost acting like your sex isn't affecting them at all. They're trying to say 'Look, I relate to you as a person, not a sex object.' My answer if I could blurt it out would be 'then what the hell am I doing all over you?' Or what are you doing under me? Oh ya, you paid me to do this. ha ha"
I don't want to be either of those!
She also describes a third category: the PIES (Pigs In Expensive Suits).Pies: "There's another type who comes in a lot, always with his buddies. We call them the pies which means pigs in expensive suits. Lots of Russian guys fall into this category. We'll check the house over before we go on and say 'a round of pies on the west end' that sort of thing. The place is filled with them tonight. And these are the creeps who play up to the newbies (the new dancers) and try to see them outside the club for sex."
Does she list any other possible categories for those of us who don't like the three above? Well maybe: "These clubs are a magnet for troubled men, lonely men, impotent men, promiscuous men, abusive men, men who can't keep relationships going and sometimes really awful looking men who couldn't attract a woman in real life."
Ouch.
