Well, here's hoping the water temps drop so you all up north wont have to worry about them.

Yep, it can happen. Hell, it has happened.

Oh and they get tornadoes up there too. Have you ever heard the story of the Olneyville, RI tornado of 1900, known as "the day that it rained fish"?

And did you know the state that has the highest incidence of tornado deaths, injuries, AND property damage per square mile is Massachusetts? I'm not kidding you, although the reasoning behind that more to do with MA having a relatively small land area, and one terrible afternoon back in 1953.

But I wouldn't be hoarding that plywood just yet. If a hurricane does head that way though, its going to be one beee-otch of an evacuation.

You are not gonna like this!

But one item in Dr. William Gray's newest report is causing concern for the East Coast of the United States. The Colorado State University scientist said there is a 64% chance of a major hurricane making landfall in the region. The average for the last century is 31%, Gray said.

I live in Florida, so I have allot of experience with this, lol. Here is a couple of tips that will make a world of difference.

Make sure your gas tank is full and charge up your cell phones before a hurricane hits.
