Good luck with everything, you're fortunate to have such a caring family!

Ha ha, I am so clueless and naive sometimes... I've wondered why it is I never see drugs at the club when everyone says they're everywhere. I figured I'd just been lucky at picking good clean drug-free clubs. So the other night I was washing my hands in the bathroom and the bartender comes in and goes, "Whooo, it smells like pot in here!" I was like, "Does it?" (Mind you, I've smoked pot before; I just didn't recognize it.) Then she had me look at the top of the toilet paper holder, which has a four-inch ledge on it, and it was covered with white dust. I've also done coke a few times and I hadn't recognized it either. Duh... how clueless do I have to be?![]()
Drugs? In Hollywood? LOL
There are drugs in every club...as well as recovering addicts like yourself. At least 3 or 4 girls in my SC are in the 12 Step Program. They work amongst heroin addicts, crack dealers and coke heads galore in a FULL BAR and still manage to stick with their program. As difficult as it is for them, they have found a way to cope and say 'no' to the myriad addictions around them. I give them a ton of credit. I don't know if I could be a stripper and a recovering alcoholic at the same time.
We have a contract - for many different things, such as we can't tell custies information on other dancers, we can't dance at another club within 30 miles of our club, and the drug policy is also in the contract.Originally Posted by veteranprincess

Are you absolutely sure it was blow? Christ, the women I work with would have that little ledge as clean as a whistle in no time--not because they were worried about getting busted, but because they are human vacuum cleaners when it comes to the shit, and would never leave a single grain for anyone else...Originally Posted by Yekhefah

It looked like coke to me. Like I said, I've done coke a few times before and I used to live with a raging cokehead (he spent over $3000 a week on it), so I can recognize it once it's pointed out to me. It was collected in the cracks and stuff.
Personally, even if I liked coke I couldn't imagine doing it off the toilet paper holder. Infection much??![]()
as a person who used to do mad blow, you'll do it anywhere, especially if it means a bathroom stall and yeah it will be wiped clean no matter what.....Originally Posted by Yekhefah
My rommate, when out in public, would duck into the bathroom stall and scoop out a tiny bit on the corner of his driver's license. He'd just sniff that little pile. Snorting blow off a toilet-paper holder in a public bathroom just seems like a surefire way to make yourself seriously ill.
I worked at a club where the girls had no problem doing it off the seat! That was outrageous!Originally Posted by Yekhefah

Totally!

Junkies don't concern themselves too terribly much with hygiene.
Yekhefah, if the powder was in the cracks and crevices of the little ledge, it makes more sense--not that I would be so rude as to tell you it couldn't possibly be so, lol.
I'll bet the cokeheads I work with would be at it with sharp metallic instruments, though, leaving that ledge spotless--if possibly far from sterile.

Umm, hello? Staying up for days at a time is not making yourself seriously ill? Not to mention driving all friends and family away because of acting mental?Originally Posted by Yekhefah
I just got out of a roommate situation where my so called friend was in deeper than I thought. Acting like a crack head is not conducive to good health, metal or otherwise.
Too much money, too much free time, too many issues and WAY to much of a party atmosphere makes for the downfall of some weak-minded individuals. It sucks but if you can't handle your drugs, don't do them, at least not at work.

My club drug tests the girls who they think is getting 'to involved' in their drug use that they aren't functioning well at work.Originally Posted by veteranprincess

Stay strong! No matter what remember the reasons u r not using anymore cuz if u get weak forget about getting ahead. This business can be very cut throat and the emotional aspects can take its toll, shit I've been known to fly off the handle during a shitty night with mean assholes, but I don't have an addictive personality and we are all different. Keep that in mind when ever u get tempted and make some $$$$$$$$!There are drugs everywhere but there are a lot of us that do not give in and are very successful. The girls that are wasted miss out and the motivated hustlers move in on what could've been theirs!
