I've had no luck getting into a Houston nursing school (the schools can only accept about 10% of applicants), so I'm moving back to Pennsylvania to get my degree. While attending college in PA, I had a 4.0 for 2 semesters while taking prenursing prereqs so I doubt that they'll reject me. In fact, I didn't even apply to the nursing school and they accepted me into it, but I turned it down to go back to Houston, stupid me. I'm applying for the fall semester. I need to take 71 more hours to get my BSN, which translates to about 2 years, depending on course availability. Wish me luck. I considered doing the Associate's RN, but that would have required 48 hours and I would have to go back to school for my BSN later, so I'm just going straight for the BSN.
Anyhoo, I'm going back to stripping to pay for my nursing school. Time to start dieting and learn how to walk in 6-inch heels again. Yes, I am aware that some nursing jobs will reimburse your tuition, but 1) You might be selling your soul to the devil and you won't be able to quit if it's a bad place, and 2) I plan to go back to Houston after I graduate, and those scholarships are usually by state. I quit stripping when I moved to Houston b/c Houston is a bad place to strip.
