    thinking about trying it again

hey girls, first post on here so i hope i'm doing everything right. ok, i danced for about 8 months over a year ago. i was never super good at it, and mostly because i think i was afraid to try very hard. i know my confidence was often down at work because i didn't feel "up to speed" with the other dancers. but i've been working out, tanning occasionally, and generally taking more care with my appearance. i'd really like to try it again...but if i couldn't pull it off before, is there hope for me? just looking for some words of encouragement..help!

Of course you can! Maybe that time wasn't the right time for you in regards to dancing. Plus you need to remember that any job that you first start out at, you're not going to perform like the other people are that have been doing it much longer than you have. You need to give yourself some time to learn everything and I think confidence will gradually get bigger and you learn things more and feel more comfortable doing it. When you were a kid, how long did it take you to learn how to ride a bike? And not only ride a bike but how long did it take riding it before you were confident you could ride your bike all the way to your friends and back all by yourself? Everything takes time, be patient with yourself and believe in yourself, keep telling yourself you can do and you'll be awesome and before you know it, you will!

Give it another go. The first time was the hardest, and now you know what to expect. I've been dancing for about a year and I can't do anything with the pole. Remember men like the new dancer thing, and they don't care about you being up to speed. Good luck x
