Sorry for the rant. Carry on.

I like Texas Hold 'Em, too. I, personally, think I suck at all the other ones.

PartyPoker's software seems really slow and sloppy to me. It feels like I'm playing on some old DOS program on a 386.

Since most of us are kind of "anything will do", I'll just propose an idea here, and see if its cool (if not, I'm adjustable):

How about we do a test run on Party Poker on Monday night at 9PM Eastern time? I'm worried that will be too early for our West Coasters, but that going any later will be too late for our East Coasters.

I'll go into the SW chat room about that time and announce it there (and since everyone doesn't use the chat, I'll bump up this thread as well). I will then go into PP and search for a table that is as uncrowded as possible and either announce the table number or have you all look me up under the player search feature. Each table on there seats as many as ten, but it is open to anyone as long as there is an empty chair so don't assume everyone in there is a SW'er.

PP does have a buddy list feature, so once were all acqainted, we can add our names to each other's lists. Once we do that, you can check on your buddies and play poker with them at any time you want.

Whether we play limit or no limit will depend on the crowd. If our poker virgins are there, it might be better to stick to limit until they get used to the game. If enough people show up, we could split into limit and no limit groups (but I'm not expecting that many).

I like some stuff on Pokerstars better too. Namely the ability to play multiple play money tables at once. There's also better possibilities for us to have a sit and go tournament on there, although they cost you more chips to enter.

What I would like someone to do who has the .net (play money only) versions of either Party Poker or Poker Stars to do is either search for my name while you're on there and see if you can find me, or PM me with your username and times you're usually playing to see if I can find you. This way I can confirm for sure that the .net software and the .com software indeed does hook together.

    My usernames are:
    On Party Poker: doc_catfish
    On Poker Stars: doc-catfish

In the meantime, everyone go ahead and download the Party Poker software (and perhaps the PokerStars software too to see which one you like better) if you haven't already, register, get in there, and get used to the controls.

They are going to ask for a valid e-mail address and yes like anything that's free they're going to send you some spam (but not that much), so if you have a disposable e-mail address that you send your junk to you may want to register with it.

Unless someone has a complaint or a better idea, I'll see you all on Monday.

I thought about playing online for real $ but the payment processing thing seems like a bit of a PITA.

And I'm not really that good... I figure it's better to be chased from a table with your tail between your legs, having lost play money instead of the real deal!

Alright everyone, its shuffle up and deal time if you can make it. I'll be bouncing between chat and Party Poker for the rest of the evening.

Just come into chat or reply here if you're in and what you'd like to play. Then I can perhaps search for a table. I'm okay with No Limit, but we'd have to stick to the small NL tables (.10/.25 blinds).

And don't forget your fake money, which if I can draw a decent hand will soon be mine.

Strip poker and Texas hold-em. I can just see it now.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

I hate to give a number on the boards, because by the time anyone reads the message, I'll have moved. I table hop a lot. You can hunt me down through the Player Search feature though.

I'm good for about another hour or two tonight. If anyone wants to play, PM me. Otherwise, well try again at 10 PM Eastern tomorrow, since my SC trip has been postponed.

And that, Cally, is precisely why we need to play strip poker.
