    Default favorite places

so i've been livingin l.a. for a while now and its not exactly my style. i move around a lot and i'm at the point where i'd like to find a place to settle down for a while. i was just wondering what are your favorite places you've lived or visted extensively and why? not necissarily in regards to dancing but just in all around cool places with good people and fun stuff.

Although I love to visit Boston if I lived there I would gain a 100 pounds as the food is damn good ! I am not much for big cities never have been just love to visit them for a change of scenery . I prefer places like Kingman ,AZ and Sedona . I like the dry climates mild temps blue skies clean air .

Hobart, Tasmania. It's my favorite city in the world.

The best place I ever lived was the Gold Coast (Australia). I was so unbelievably happy there.

I'm over L.A. too. I'm also thinking of a move, maybe next year.

^^^ Ha ha... I like living in the city but being able to drive to the boonies!

I've thought about moving to Arizona or something because the land is so cheap, but damn, I REALLY hate the desert. I mean I absolutely HATE it. Every time I have to drive through it I get depressed. I need greenery!

When were you in Indonesia? And why can't you move there?

    My favorite was Lucerne, Switzerland.
In the US, it is a tie between Bristol, Rhode Island, and Boston, Mass.

Arizona, without a doubt. Lived in Peoria, it was the best.

Rhode Island is my home, no matter where we go though. When we were there, it sucked and I couldn't wait to leave it. But, I get homesick every now and then. We'll most likely end up back there next year or something.

Only thing that sucks about RI, and the East Coast in general, is like already mentioned--the cost of living is extremely high. You'll basically need 2 jobs (or a very HIGH paying one) if you plan on RI. The Winters are hell, and some years it seems like we'd only get about 2 weeks of Spring/Summer. But, like I said, it's home.

Gitmo was another favorite of mine, but of course, there's no going back there. LOL

    western MA....the Berkshires.

SO PRETTY! it's country enough to feel like you're far away from everything, but you're still an hour and a half from Boston.

I grew up in Las Vegas, so I can appreciate the seasons... and you really feel them in a place with a lot of trees and vegetation.

Siena.. I posted this sometime last year, but it could help you out a bit... You answer a bunch of questions about your "perfect spot", and it gives you a list of about 30 places that you'd fit best in. It's a great site.

Great site, Rhiannon! Thanks for sharing. It recommended Eugene, Oregon, for me. After reading the report on Eugene, I'd have to agree; it sounds perfect.
