Anyone know of anything new and hot.? I cant find anything. I need something slow but upbeat at the sametime.

Can you be more specific so we can help? Dance, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock, etc.?

Here's the question I always ask those rare--and much appreciated--dancers who tell me "Oh, I can dance to anything! Play whatever you want..."
I could just watch them dance closely and figure it out--the best way to pick music if you don't have an idea what will work best--but this question always seems to elicit a good response for a starting point:
If you were at home, with a man you loved, very comfortable, and wanted to make him really happy by dancing for him--what would you play? Because that's what I want to play for you...
Provided, of course, it was acceptable to the management and the crowd--and it usually is.
So, what's your answer? Then we can think about what's new out there that is similar to it.
From what you've written so far, the first song that comes to mind is "Perfect Lie" from the Nip/Tuck series--but it might not be your thing, and it's only relatively new (like a year old or so already, now that I think of it). But it might be new to you--none of the other DJs around my area play it.
if you do like it, just be sure to tell your DJ to cue it up after the little snipping scissors sound at the beginning.

Just want everyone to know how much i appreciate the info on different songs...i'am an old school d.j., fifteen years,...from biker "tittybars" to "gentlemens clubs"....Detroit to West Palm, Jersey, upstate new york, and jamaica. I dont say much on these sites but this is my favorite....

Well, say a little more, dammit...Originally Posted by mickatnite

But I've been around--and I'm from Detroit, too. I've worked in all kinds of clubs, though less than you I'm sure. Right now I'm in the process of getting out of a biker-type club, back into the 'gentlemen's' type club I prefer.
Hey, what happened to Blueyegurl_05? We're ready to help you, so come on back, lol...

Well, if you are into rock, try the band Absent Element. 4 great songs to make a set would be:
1 - 7 and 4 (title not numbers)
2 - Breakdown
3 - Keep me close (or) Conviction
The group has been around awhile but is virtually undiscovered. Lately they have been gaining widespread attention due to their lead singer Chris Daughtry appearing on American Idol. Check out their website for further info absentelement.com
