Your knees gett used to it. Right now my innerthigh is getting used to the new poletrick I learned. Each new thing gets a new bruise. Look at it like battlescars. Be proud!

I've been dancing for over two years and my knees are still bruised! At some clubs it's not as bad, but the place I'm working now has a really high stage so I end up on my knees a lot to be more on the level of the customers.

Hey I see that you're in Portland. Which club are you working at? Send me a PM if you don't wanna say on here!

Yeah my knees never got used to it. I kneel on chairs in lapdances to sort of hover over a guy without touching him, and my knees look like a hot purple mess right now (i just took up fulltime shifts recently, and that's made a big difference). I just can't do floorwork anymore either...only once in a while if it's worth it for tips- my knees get so sore. They're sensitive, and it's not worth it to lose my knees over this job, I figure.

Mine get so bad i get fluid in my knees. Its so gross, but im pretty sure it's harmless. I ice my knees and shins/feet everynight after work and it seems to take down the bruising swelling factor in the AM.

What do customers think of a chick who has bruises all over her legs? I thought about this when considering dancing too..because I bruise extremely easy. I usually cant wear skirts because my legs always have bruises and I dont even know what they are from. And Ive tried makeup, etc. NOthing covers them.

Most customers dont notice the bruising... if the do they know already its called 'stripper knees' at my club lol. I used cover up on mine untill my knees got used to it. Tanning helps cover them as well as the club lighting

Babe you should try Arnica cream it will clear those bruises up really fast, you can find it in health food shops also don't feel obliged to do things that hurt you. I used to kneel on the tip rail to get my dollars now i sit sideways and jiggle my boobs, cos its easier and im lazier lol

Also try Arnica tabs. You can get them at any local health food store. It helps with the bruising from the inside. I just had surgery and I didnt have any brusing at all thanks to Arnica tabs and cream.

Currently at home nursing knee injury (I think i've been on here for like 3 hours- dork!). If you bruise really easily you could be anemic. Try taking iron supplements.

Oh yes! I've been dancing for two (maybe three) weeks now and I have yet to wake up the next morning without bruises on my knees. They look terrible. The tip bar where I work is fairly high too, so I have to do a lot of leaning and kneeling to get to the customer. Last weekend I still wound up with bruises, but they were dramatically less since I was wearing my knee high boots. Those helped tremendously!
