    Default Grr

Last night at work someone drove into the side of my car and pushed it into another car. It's totalled. How fucking sweet.

That happened to me in January, and then they drove away, so you have my sympathy.

oh yeah they drove away here too. Last Monday my ex's little brother ran someone over and killed them and seriously injured someone else ...and fled...(he got caught) but jeez he kills someone and doesn't stop, why would someone stop if they hit an empty car.

I don't know, I only have liability insurance. On my car, you can't see a lot of damage unless you look close, but the frame is bent. I can't afford a new car right now, so I am still driving my hot rod til summer.

Same thing just happened to me, although evidently the idiot that hit you was a little more thorough (I just need a new driver side door panel). You insurance rates should not go up since you weren't driving the car.

I'm not certain, but I think if your company has to pay out for any type of claim, you may face higher bills. Hopefully I'm wrong. That's so shitty! I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

Um; yes. My first fiance was killed on a bike that I owned in 2001. My insurance company dropped me. My second insurance company had to have a certain type of insurance on me until this drops off. Now; I am 32 with a perfect driving record; but my INSURANCE record is shit. I only have liability now; but am going to get collision next year.

I had that happen to me (in a rental car at 4am in a gated community!).

I went through shit with my insurance company until they called in an "expert" to determine whether or not the car was parked at the time. The decided it was and paid in full and my insurance rates didn't go up.

But damn, walking out to your car and seeing it completely fucked up sucks ass.

Well the police report said it was a hit and run - the police actually came into the club and got me - hey we're looking for a Jen that owns a blue escort. Ironically the person who's car mine was pushed into (and had very minimally damage) is an insurance claims lawyer. I got his card.

yep two freak accidents, both happened when i had the car for a year and 4 months....i just went and picked it up and brought it home, while it's not as bad as I thought originally there is damage to a large amount of the car (about 50%) so replacing all the parts would probably be very costly - and make the car totaled.

And my weekend continues to get better....I got rear ended today. Although the back end of my car was already trashed so the new damage isn't too bad.

I don't know how it works anywhere else, but in the state of Oregon, if you rear end someone, you are automatically at fault, no matter what. So hopefully this will turn out for the best, and you'll get a new car out of it.

sorry. it happened to me w/ my NEW car a month ago. I had it for 2 days, got the windows tinted and took it to work at nite and 2 guys in a Porsche knocked the bumper off and my car slammed into the car next to it. the estimate was 4000 and they never caught the f%$kers . From what i heard from my ins, it shouldn't go up, but i'm in Florida, which is a no fault state in these circumstances.
