    Dammit, Dammit!

I am tired of people telling me "eat something" because I'm skinny,

    To tan because I'm pale.

Well you know what? Fuck that!

For one, I have an extremely high metabolism. It's hard to gain weight, believe me, I've tried. And I eat more than most men dammit!. But you know what? I like how I look.
For two, I like my skin color. I love my lovely porcelain skin. Look at Nicole Kidman. She's pale and beautiful too. I don't like sunless tanners, they're too messy and I'm too lazy to keep reapplying them. And I refuse to go tan in a booth or in the sun. Melanoma risk is high here in the desert, and I don't want it! I wear sunscreen religiously!

    Ok, so /rant

    Ha! Tell me about it!

I have had an immensely high metabolism all my life, and I rarely get a tan.

Consequently, I look 300X better than all the fat, saggy, wrinkled, out-of-shape people who tell me I look pale.

I was too thin for my liking the majority of my life, in spite of working out like crazy. Finally I found the best way to gain weight for me is by hitting a heavy bag--works like a charm!

Actually I am about 10 pounds underweight right now, and due for a return to my regimen--the last 5 months have been hell--since the deaths I have had no appetite whatsoever. Not so much the trauma, but that, then the work situation, the special events, etc.

But three weeks on the bag, and I'll be right back where I need to be.

Once in a great while I'll get the "You look too thin, you should eat more..." comment--it's always from someone who is clearly overweight!

As for the tan--back in the 1800's women were praised highly for their 'porcelain skin'. I still like the look. Not a damned thing wrong with it, as I tell Jenna all the time, she worries because she doesn't have a tan (if slightly better than I).

But only a complete idiot or a blind man would find fault with her appearance, tan or no...

Tans look great, too, and everyone in Florida has one but me, lol, but they are vastly overrated.

Plus you can see the result everywhere around you in this state. You have a lot of 33 year old women who look 50 running around here.

Yea i used to get this alot too, if someone went up to an overweight person and said hey u need to go on a diet, everyone would think u were a bitch and yet if someone says ur too skinny then its allowed!! As for being pale, darling you'll be the one laughing when all the beach bunnies end up looking 10 years older then they really are and you'll look 10 years younger ! lol

it is so funny how it is always the fucking fat girl (or guy) saying this...

I have always wanted to say, "Thanks, you are fat, did you know that?" and they deserve it--but I have yet to do it.

    Too nice, I suppose.

It's like the fucking guys who try to tell you you are 'unmanly' for disliking televised football--and you can kill them if you wanted to.

I don't, of course--instead I egg them on by further revealing my utter, willfull ignorance of all Team names, sports Idols, or even which big team sport is currently being obsessed about by all the fat guys guzzling beer and devouring cheese fries on their couches at the time.

I'm seriously like the whitest white girl there ever was... lol... even the lightest foundation and powder colors that some makeup companies make are too dark for me. I like my porcelain skin color though. I am going to get a tan for this summer I think, but the only time I tan is in the spring and beginning of summer, just to get a little bit of color. The rest of the year I stay pasty white. It makes me stand out from the other dancers, because even without tanning they're all darker than me.

LOL, I have that problem too! There are just a few places I can get the right foundation because I'm so pale. Even going tanning, my face doesn't darken like the rest of me.

A quick sharp remark "No, i love who i am!" (with a roll of the eyes) And walk away works every time. These are people trying to change people because they are insecure! Nothing more.

PS now mothers may mean well if they say this...doesn't always mean they know what's best for us!

Maybe it's a Wisconsin thing....lol.....that's where I'm from and I thought my mom and I were the two whitest people ever. It's so hard to find just the right make-up, foundation and powder especially.
One time I was shopping at the grocery store and a black guy actually came up to me and said "damn you are sooooooooo white".....gee thanks for telling me the obvious. I was about to say "damn you are so black"..... Come on people....
And just recently a regular customer where I bartend said "come summer you really need to get a tan honey"....uh, no I don't. He was shocked when I told him I prefer my porcelain complection.
I used to have a terrible nickname as a teen because I was so skinny. And I never had an eating disorder. It was just my metabolism, my mom is 5 feet and about 85-90 pounds, my dad is 6 feet and has always been slim.
I finally got some curves at about 30 years old! Teasing someone about being skinny is just as hurtful as teasing someone about being fat. I had horrible teenage years because I was so skinny. Shit, my own family even used to call me skinny and toothpick as nicknames.....not cool. My one grandma's nickname was "birdlegs", she was thin too.

CF, ignore them. They are trolls and that's what trolls do. I think you're very pretty and I appreciate your height to weight ratio. Plus you have pretty eyes and beautiful hair. Just let it roll off your back.

So, I glanced in the mirror last night. I am so happy! Turns out, the extra weight I've gained has made me really curvy and makes me feel sexy! Ready to go back to work!

Pale is so sexy. The sexiest white women I know glow in blacklight. Dark skin is beautiful on women of other races, but in my opinion white women with heavy tans just look burned and leathery. It makes you wrinkly before your time and adds years to your looks. I don't get why people tan.

I love being pale. Wish I had your skinny troubles though.

Yeah...I get sick of that "You need to eat", "Your so little", bullshit. It gets on my nerves even though after awhile i should be used to it. But i eat alot as well. I have a Fast metabo, and damn, it's not like they would tell a big boned person the opposite of what they be telling me to my face. My gosh they need to get over themselfves or something. I guess it is their insecurities.

LOL, you girls are so funny. I love Kikin's input--making such comments is what trolls do.

I once had a huge, fat lady tell me to take the dollar and buy a hamburger--I told her that one dollar couldn't buy me enough because I could eat like a pig and not gain weight. She was sooooooo pissed because she only wished she were like me. Enjoy having that high metabolism and porcelain skin.

Oh yeah, I can relate--no one had the slightest shred of mercy, though the kids in junior high were way worse than the rude family members.

I remember pulling out my 8th grade yearbook a few years ago, it was shocking--you know, everyone used to run around getting everyone to sign it and write stuff?

It was all "Djoser (well, not my name back then, but anyway), you are a shrimp but you are an OK guy.", or "Djoser, hope you grow some more someday!", or just "Djoser, you are a shrimp!" And this was them trying to be nice!

Well, I would sure love to go to a class reunion, lol. I wouldn't hurt them--I'd just watch their faces when they looked up at me, and laugh.

Girl I SO totally hear what you are saying, you have no idea.

Im also very thin, but its my natural build. People have told me to gain weight a lot..but they dont understand, Im very naturally small boned and I carry any weight I gain around my waist. Its not like I can gain 15 pounds and have it go to my boobs and ass! It just becomes love handles on a skinny girl which is not attractive. I look best when I am toned and trim all over, with little boobs and a tight ass, NOT with extra pounds.

Im also very pale. Once, back when I was a cashier at a mexican restaurant, I had a guy (middle aged, mexican, tanned skin) come up to me and say (in all seriousness NOT in a teasing way!) "You know, you really are too white. You need to look into getting some sun, you look unhealthy". Well..I wont get into my response but lets just say I was pretty upset and if it wasnt for the fact I wanted to keep my job I would have cussed the guy out.

WHAT THE HELL? I mean, can you imagine if I went up to an african american person and told them they were "too black" ??

No one needs to be commenting on other peoples bodies in a negative way. People are idiots, and if anyone comes at me nowadays like this they better watch themselves. Grrr...

I think the problem is that people have such limited ideas of what is attractive--and they are based so largely on what is presented to them as such by media, such as magazines, television (both regular shows and the commercials which are basically propaganda in my mind), and movies.

For instance, if you look at the pictures of the rock stars of the late 60's and early 70's, they are incredibly skinny. Mick Jagger, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, etc. would all be viewed as freaks today, if they were seen on MTV videos. Back then they were king-hell studs. I don't know about the tan look being so 'in' back then, but I suspect it's much more important now.

In the end, you can't argue with what turns any one individual on, or what they find to be admirable appearance when viewing someone of the same sex.

But they do need to shut the fuck up about it, lol. At least where negative feedback is concerned. Especially if, as is almost invariably the case, they are far from perfect themselves...

^Thats just it though..especially regarding "societys" views of whats attractive or whatever. Look at all the famous women..Paris Hilton, Gwenyth Paltrow, Linsday Lohan, etc. ALL have skinny bodies like me! Everywhere you look its diet pill this and this workout that, etc. Its like an obsession, but when someone actually has what everyone seems to want, they get shit about it. Its gotta be jealousy.

A lot of it is, without question...

But don't forget the whole 'what you've been raised with' syndrome.

If a guy or a woman is raised in a family of 'stout' folk, slender women or lean, well-defined men are going to look 'skinny', lol. So what? Unless of course, they are rude about it, or just stupid and insensitive.

But as long as they are discrete--in other words they know how to keep their big mouths shut--you can't argue with what they genuinely find attractive.

I know women who genuinely find guys with big guts to be really cute! And a lot of my friends who aren't really heavy or overweight, but just kind of soft and without any muscular definition whatsoever, have lots of fans amongst the women out there.

And I have worked with some curvy women who did very well. To each their own...

Corsica, I know what you mean. I was always super skinny until I turned 35...then I filled out. I was only 115lbs at 9 months pregnant, both times! No eating disorder, just high metabolism.

At my heaviest I was 125lbs. I miss being able to eat whatever I want. Consider yourself lucky. I've seen your pics and I love your body although I can only wish I had your height.
