    Default How much money?

I swear I searched for this, and kept getting stuff that was totally not related at all.

I first got interested in dancing when reading stripper-faq.org and on her website it says that if you're making less than $300 a night, you should find a new club. But here I keep hearing from girls that making 300 a night is like.. a maximum.

So.. how much does everyone make on an average night?

I wasn't sure if this should go here, since I'm also interested in what I would be making (roughly) after a month or two of working regularly, or if it should go in Dollar Den. Feel free to move it if you need to.

It all depends on the club, the city, and even the area of the country. What I make her in a small town in Wisconsin is great, but if I made this same amount at a big club in New York like Scores, this would be considered total crap. Plus, cost of living in different areas is completely different. Cost of living here is low (rent for a 2 bedroom apartment in a nice apartment building ranges from about $250-600 a month- very cheap compared to other areas). If I said that I normally average $250 a night, other girls might say that $250 a night would be crap and not enough for them to survive on, while it's more than enough for me. There are many nights- especially in winter- where I leave with $100 or less, but in the summer, weeknights I usually make between $200-300 and weekends $300-600. There are nights where I make more or less, but this is average for me I would say.

If I wanted to switch clubs because I was making less than $300 a night, I wouldn't be able to work at any other clubs within like 2 hours of where I live. I doubt that very many girls on here consistently make $300 a night. While they make that much some of the time, there are, I'm sure, nights where they make less. It all depends on the club and the city. What's good for one, isn't good for anyther.

If I ever really go for this, I'll be working in Lafayette, Indiana. Population is about 60,000. So.. pretty small. Not that I really know much about what constitutes a large or small city. Rent is pretty the same as what you stated.

I was just getting afraid that making $150 a night was a terribly large amount for most girls or something, just from what little reading I've done here. I'd be a happy camper with $100 a night. So, hopefully it'll work out well if I ever get up the courage to try it. Mostly I'm afraid of getting into fights and stuff, I'm a really small girl - like 90lbs - and probably wouldn't fair well with a lot of roughing up, haha.

There is probably never going to be a time where you will be in a situation where you get into a physical fight with anyone at the club. There may be times where you get into arguments or have disagreements with others, but rarely does it ever turn to physical fighting. I don't think you have anything to worry about there.

It can really never be determined.

Hell, there are some nights I make $600+, and the next day walk out with $0, YES ZERO dollars..it does happen.

Hey, I used to live in Lafayette. Didn't work in any of the clubs but visited them, Chances Are always seemed like the best bet $ wise. Also, the others seemed more like dives. I would think that an average night in a lafayette club would be 150-300 max. An old acquaintance of mine was a waitress in one of the clubs for years and made around $100 a night, although I forget which club she was at.

Also, if you try it and like it, it would be worth your time to drive down to Indy every now and then. There is alot more $$ in the clubs there. Good Luck!

    sweety.. Don't worry about it.

On average I can guarentee that if they hire you, you will make much more then 100 dollars on average.

A club will go out of business FAST if dancers are making less then 100 bucks on average. The club would be doing something wrong.

One I walked out with -3 dollars. NEGATIVE 3. Another time I walked out with $850. Now in Aus, it's impossible to bankrupt and I'm consistant t 300-400 a night and rent's $190 a week. Happy camper here.

It's all condusive with cost of living for the most part.

There should never be such a thing as a broke stipper.

It really depends... ESPECIALLY starting out. When I first started working, I saw a continuous increase in my earnings each night for the first few weeks (obviously because I was improving my hustle, my stage sets, my look, etc while learning the ropes), but when it kind of started tapering out, I freaked out and thought I was doing something wrong, especially when a really bad night would immediately follow a great night.

I've only been dancing about 3 months in all, but the thing that works best for me is to not compare one night to another, unless I'm trying out different things to see what works best. Now, instead of trying to make more than I made the previous night, I just tell myself that if I walk out with even $5, at least I'm $5 the richer. And I can assure you: even working slow day shifts, I've never made below $200 (although I live in San Francisco, and the cost of living as well as the expectations for spending are probably much higher than the midwest). In fact, I find I make MORE money when I don't feel pressured to make it, and my average ranges anywhere from 300-800 on weeknights to 600- 1500 on weekends. Again, I live in a different area than you do so I don't know how comparable that is, but at least it helps you gain a sense of the unpredictability. But I'll reiterate what some have said above: I highly highly doubt that you'll make less than $100 on average.

And remember: it's all about what works for you. Try to make what the cost of living in your area entails obviously (plus any additional expenses- college tuition or whatever- reasons why you're earning the money). And hopefully consider investing, saving money, having 'emergency funds', etc- just in case there are nights when you do happen to make lower than what you need.

I'm worried about not making enough money to pay my house fee and tipouts when I first start.

Usually new dancers have their house fees waived for their first few shifts. You can reasonablely expect to earn anywhere from -$20 (or worse) to $1500.00 a night. Most of this depends on you and your ability to sell. Some things can't be overcome, though, like a really crappy club, or no business coming in the door ect.

Your best bet would be to visit the club as a customer, and just watch all the dancers and see who is selling the most dances, and who is not selling any. Then you can get an idea as to what the average earnings at your location can be.
