All of us had childhood dreams. What did you want to be when you were little?
I wanted to be a teacher. I would even play school- set up all my dolls and stuffed animals and use my schoolbooks to pretend I was their teacher.
Take the road less traveled- just make sure you have a map.
I wanted to be an actress. I was in the drama club all throughout middle school and did all the musicals. I got many leads and was quite good, but when high school came around, it was either band or drama. I picked band. Can't say I regret it because it opened up so many things for me. But I do miss the drama.
When I was little, I was a huge astronomy buff and I wanted to be an astronaut. Then I watched Challenger go boom, and it slowly sunk in that my beloved Christa MacAuliffe was dead. So nevermind.
I then decided I would be a storyteller or a photographer, and then in junior high I realized I could combine the two and be a filmmaker. So that's all I've ever trained to do. And I'm never happier than when I'm working on a movie (especially when it's mine).

By dreams, you reallly mean wishes or fantasies. Childhood dreams (as in sleeping) are difficult to interpret because of the undeveloped mind.Originally Posted by chrissxp2002
I don't particularly remember wanting to do anything before high school. I do remember some interests - dinosaurs, whales, elephants, chess, music, cowboys, etc.

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

My two role models when I was a kid were a folk singer who mostly lived in her truck and travelled around singing and camping, and an escort who mostly lived in her (much nicer) truck and drove village to village seeing men. I was pretty sure that whatever I did when I grew up, I'd do it in a truck...

Um..I'm a little embarassed to say...but my mom says my first career aspiration was to be a swimsuit model.
From there I progressed to teacher (all my dolls were my classroom), then air force pilot...then from there I totally lost focus. Now I'm halfway through a geophysics degree, saving up for a heavy equipment operator course and moonlighting as a dancer.
I'm a little unfocused, i think.

I always wanted to be rich. Not just rich, but be my own boss and make my own money. I used to have a lemonade stand when I was really little, and sell stuff at the family garage sale. When I hot a little older I would do odd jobs or babysit. It didn't really matter what it was as long as there was money to be made.

Married (Meh, I've been angaged, that's as close to that as I got)
Mother of lots of rugrats (Oops. So far, no such luck)
Veterinarian (Then I realized I would need to be near hypodermic needles. EW!)
So, so much for that.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an airborne ranger up to about 7.
Then I was crazy about airplanes and wanted to engineer new airplanes.
Science and technical stuff was my realm all the time.
Then at 13-14 I got into computers and knew I would be a programmer
Now that's what I do and run my own IT business from 23. And I built my first radio controlled helicopter! YAHOO! This thing can actually fly!
(You girls want the funniest part? Now that I have everything I just wanna get laid :-)))))))))))))) LOL
I've always wanted to compose music...which I went to school for...I just need to get back into it. And, I've always wanted a yard like my grandpa...beautifully manicured with lots of beautiful flowers, veggies, and fruit. I love gardening and have even been thinking of doing landscape design for people. But, I'm happy with my new YARD (finally!!!) and I have no problem working in the yard all day, every day.
I also wanted 2-3 kids, so 1 down and 1 1/2 more to go. LOL

As funny as it is, I used to own a collector's doll. Gorgeous. I saw it last year at a local decor shop and was just Wow! It would stand up at about my chest level, dressed in 19 century royal dress, hat with real feathers, just amazing. There are only 5000 of dolls exactly like this in the world. I thought, wow, that would really freshen up my cave where I work and sleep. And it did. Up until the point when my masculine territorial instincts kicked in and I just had to put it back into it's box and into the storage area. I thought, well, if I ever have a girl that would be her first doll.
Well, what can I say, I like girls that look like dolls :-)

I can't believe I almost forgot one.I played classical piano for six years and wanted to play for the Philharmonic Orchestra.

Up until I was 13 I wanted to be a rich business person and wear a suit everyday.
When I was 13 I realized I wanted to retire by the time I was 30.
I turned 27 last Friday, I sure fucked that one up.

When i was very young i loved animals and wanted to be a vet, then in high school i was shit at science so that was out the window, then i wanted to be a model and i sorta did that but it was glamour not fashion, then i wanted to retire from that and become a make up artist then that didnt happen (man trouble messed everything up) then i started dancing by accident really and now im almost done with my degree and i dont know whats next and im scared!
