    Thumbs down Varices

    I was just putting some self tanner on, and I noticed varices on my right leg

    How could that have happened? I'm only 22, and my mom didn't have any until she was about 40...is there anything I can do to get rid of them?
    I get all kind of creepy stuff

    are you talking about varicous veins? or "spider veins"?

    I started getting spider veins when i was 10, so age has nothing to do with that. do you cross your legs alot? or sit on your knees? unfortunatly there isn't much you can do to prevent either kind, but there are many laser treatments out there that will zap em away!

    I have a really large blue varicose I THINK on my right thigh, I'm not sure if it's varicose or spider, cuz i do have some small spider veins that surround it. I've had them for like 5-6 years. i don't even know when exactly they popped up cuz I never really pay attention to that area too much......

    spider veins are usually flat and blue/purple/red. varicose veins are very bulgy and can be painful and should be taken care of before they get too bad

    Then I guess it's spider veins, but is there any way to get rid of them?

    yup, lasers. there are may places that can zap them, usually in one session. I have a lot to get rid of, so it's gonna cost me about $500. But if you only have a small area, it shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred. Once their gone, their gone forever! at least in that spot

    That's good to know, I thought they were like stretch marks or something and they'd last for ever lol

    Thanks for your help

    Stretch marks don't last forever if you treat 'em right. o.O;

    I have them on my legs, but that's because I did marching band for 5 years. When you're very active, that can also cause them.

    I started getting spider veins when I was 17 - they suck! I have a few on the back of my right calve and I am always sooo paranoid people can see them. Bleh.

    About the stretch marks - can the white ones fade?
