    Default Dancing after pregnancy

    Hello everyone,
My name is Lexxy. I am considering dancing again, (It's been about 2 years) However, I just had my first child, she's almost one year old and I just wanted to know how any of you did it after pregnancy. I have lost all of the pregnancy weight, and then some. But I have that disgusting extra skin... my OBGYN says it should retoun to normal buy the time my daughter's 2, but I cant wait that long (financial difficulty.) Any suggestions as to what I should wear and how long it rook for your tummy to return to normal, and how you did it, of course, will be helpful. Thanks in advance!!!

HEY! Just do about 20 sit ups a night. And that should help a little. It took 3 or 4 months for my body to go back to normal. Still feels weird though. But you'll be fine!

I had my second son 7 months ago. I weigh less than pre-pregnancy, but my stomach is still fairly loose. I wear outfits that cover my stomach and just take the top down to right below my belly button. My skirt/shorts/etc.. fall down from there.

Another lady that I work with had her 3rd child last November. She looks great, but she has the expected loose skin from having a baby. She takes all of her clothes off. The stage lighting hides any flaws she may have - She really looks great!

You can always try a waist cincher... It's like a corset, but doesn't cover your boobs. That way you can still get as naked as needed, without exposing your belly. Fredericks has nice silk ones that allow for good movement.

Loose skin does not go away unless you have good elasticity (sp). I had 5 kids and I started dancing AFTER them. I still have a little loose skin but 7 inch heels help. Higher heels poke out your boobs and butt, make you stand straighter, and in the end making your legs look longer and belly flatter.

Stage lighting will take care of that. When was your child born? Mine is turning one on May 19

Thank you all so much for your answers. I guess I'm just nervous. When i danced before, almost all of the gals had children, but I thought nothing of it at the time.

Alexis81, my daughter will be one on the 11th of May. Ha ha, hasn't time gone by so fast.
It's such a blessing to have her... but, I am anxious to dance again. Thanks again

I have that same problem. I think my stomach is absolutly discusting. So I wear a waist Clincher. When I make enough money I am going to go to Dr. Ciaravino (sp) in Houston and get implants and a tummy tuck. I want that tummy tuck so bad!
