    Default How to loose a fast 10 pounds?

    Im the last 2 months, i'v went though alot of changes in my life, a move, a wreck and un employment, back with ex. so i have gained back about 10 lousey pounds or so.... feels like 15 i dont know, but pants are tight.... belly is buldging, and i feel soooooo fat i want to cry.... i'd like to go back to dancing, but i have to try and shape up first.... what would you do if this happened to you? how would you get back into shape? pweeze advise? I once heard someone say something about egg whites and tunna...... but feels like everytime i eat anything at all i get a bloaty feeling. so crash dieting ,or all liquid diets keeps crossing my mind......i know this is wrong but seems like it works? what would you do?

    Tighten up your diet, drink lots of water and workout.

    Other than that, there's only pills...and once you stop taking them, you'll end up at square 1 plus 10 lbs.

    the liquid diets work, but you still have to have good eating habits after them....especially no salty foods!

    Yup, hit the treadmill. If that isn't possible, walk about 2-3miles per day! Tighten up your diet, but honestly you won't even have to do anything to drastic. Limit your intake of pop, sweets, eating after 6pm. Small changes like that can make a huge difference.

    Cut out all junk food for awhile and get an hour of vigorous exercise a day, six days a week. Drink plenty of water, too. You'll be back to your trim little self in a week or two.

    what I do is every day I eat 3 meals no more that 400 calories each and 3 snacks no more than 100 calories each.That adds up to 1500 calories a day.So for instance for breakfast I will eat fat free cottage cheese and pinapple, for lunch a lean pocket with six 1/3 less fat pringles and a propel water and for dinner a lean pocket meal with a diet soda.than in between meals I eat fat free snacks like fat free pudding or Kellog's cereal bars or those 100 calorie snack packs from Nabisco.So basically I'm eating every 3 hours whether it's a snack or meal.On this diet I don't excersice cuz I don't have time and I am loosing a pound a day.It might just be water weight for now but I am definetly loosing the weight.Eating every 3 hours keeps my metabolism up and if I were to starve myself it would only lead to a binge and I would gain it all back.There's actually a name for this diet, it's called the 3 hour diet.I'm not sure who created it but you could probably find information on line.

    that's impossible that you are losing a pound a day on a 1500 cal diet since you would need to burn/reduce 3500 calories DAILY. If your body requires 2000 cals and you don't exercise, this is going to result in more like one pound per week.

    hmmm ok i am 120 lbs and would like to be about 114 with some tone(this weight seems small but unfortunately i am 5"2) by May 25th for a dance show...my plan as of now is drink a gallon of water EVERYDAY(i will buy it by the gallon to make sure) for breakfast i am going to eat raisin bran with skim milk and a peice of fruitor egg whites...lunch i will have either a salad with tuna fish on it or tuna fish on whole wheat bread...and dinner i am going to eat the salad too...or some other types of fish with veggies. If i want a sweet snack i will eat a low fat pudding or yogurt? i use tomatoes on my salad and a small portion of regular ranch dressing...and in the mornings i like to drink a little bit of cold green tea,,,,,,im gonna try to jog/ workout when i can but it is so hard bc my semester is ending and i am swamped! Any suggestions? Maybe start this diet very strictly and then a juice diet the last 3 or 4 days before the show? =/ my problem is i end of eating junk after eating good.

    Hey...the scale doesn't lie.Like I said though it's probably water weight.I'm sure that after I stop loosing water weight it will be more like a pound a week.

    what about pure fluids, and only fluids? coffee,water,juices, tomato juices, teas, ahot drinks to curb apatites, and clear soups, like chicken broth only. skim milk.... and power drinks like, fruit shakes?

    ^^^^^What's so hard about you wanting to workout?

    Juice diets and all that won't give your body the nutrients that you need. And if you do lose weight..you're only losing muscle, not fat. You won't have long term results with these quick fix remedies your keep trying

    fruit juices are filled with sugar and broths are probably loaded with sodium. If you're gonna do a meal replacement I would do a protein shake maybe twice a day and eat at least one meal a day. Cut white bread and pasta out. Agree with hitting the treadmill. oh and make sure your coffee is black, no cream and sugar!

    ok...there's a diet called psmf which is protein sparing modified fast, doctors use it for obese people for them to drop weight really quickly before a surgery, it's also huge in the bodybuilding scene. search it and if you have any questions pm me..it's to much to type. lyle mcdonald has written some good books on it. you will drop weight really fast, most being water weight at first.

    Even if you use this as a guideline which i do where you base your calories around protein and fat and choose your carbs wisely but consume more calories than the diet suggests you'll still lose weight.

    i know there alot of atkins haters here but i followed it to the letter. i lost 4 pounds the FIRST WEEK. after that it was about a pound or two a week . so in about a month ten was off. no exercise either

    if you do a juice diet, it's got to be 100% juice....and it does work, but you will get so sick of it after two days. If youc an last 3, it's a miracle!

    Atkins can work for short term.

    I'm not an Atkin hater. I've just tried every diet and found it difficult to stay at it. I got bored and as soon as I incorporated carbs, I was back to bad habits.

    Workout. Workout. Workout. You are never too busy to workout. Even if you only do it for 10 minutes a day. Go buy a good cookbook on proper nutrition. With the diet you have listed, I'll be damned if I didn't shoot myself in the head after the first week.

    Tuna is a no-no. The mercury levels are so high in tuna, no matter where you get it from, that it's becoming a health hazard to eat it. Salmon is still good, Tilapia, etc. But, stay away from Tuna.

    Juice diets are good...but you should not drink any juice that isn't "100%" juice. They still have loads of sugar in it, but it's a different type of sugar, so it'll be fine.

    I would like to say, though...your diet is soooo strict that I can't imagine you following it for long. Make sure that you incorporate as much variety as you can...when you use bread use WHOLE WHEAT bread...and not just wheat bread (big difference).

    Have you tried the cabbage soup diet? I've done it several times, with good results, (i've never done for the 7 days though lol) , however once you're done, you have to be very careful with what you eat, otherwise you'll gain it all back.
    I've done the juice fruit diet too, and I actually like that one better (the soup doesn't taste very well).

    similar yes but your alowed carbs in veggie form minus a couple and you comsume low calories where atkins calories isn't in issue. also akins allows any kind of meat where psmf your consuming very lean meat and getting fat from either fish oil or flax seed oil supp...i recommend a flax seed oil supp to everyone, it has made my skin and hair so soft!

    It depends what you're "fasting" on, but no. Some juices can provide tons of calories a day - hardly starving. BUT, Let me tell you - IT'S NOT A WAY OF LIFE! Only drinking juice may work for two weeks, or hell, three months - but sooner or later you'll want to eat like a fairly normal person (and you will) and you'll gain all of it back.

    Uh, also, the Protein fast has been linked to a lot of deaths too. I wouldn't use that.

    If you are not exercising then you are not following the Atkins plan.

    But yes... with Atkins it's been easy for me. I lost 15 pounds in two months WITH exercise and have kept it off.

    It is the ONLY thing that worked for me so I highly suggest Atkins.

    well when i say i didnt exercise i guess i meant in a gym. i am so busy and active that i guess that would be called exercise. i ride my horse 4 times a week. but in all honesty. the first week i didnt do shit and still lost the weight. i have kept it off too. i dont work out at all in the traditional sense.

    and yes it is the ONLY thing that worked for me.
