I usually go for the very dark eyeliner look and I get Prestige automatic eyeliners. I've tried others, but they don't work nearly as well.
I prefer MAC Fluidline in BlackTrack.

I use MAC Carbon eyeshadow with a thin, flat brush that I've dipped in an eyemakeup sealer.

I like Styli-Style brand, they are made to last. As mentioned, go over the pencil liner on your eye w/brush dipped in eyeshadow, and/or use a "sealer" which are clear & applied to waterproof.

thanks to emily's recommendation, i now know it is ALL ABOUT bobbie brown's gel eyeliner. i seriously think it's way upped my earnings actually. you can do all kinds of shit with it and then once it dries it STAYS.

Why do you believe eyeliner gel increased your earnings?Originally Posted by lizlizliz

Try Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Zero. After this dries, it will NOT budge without a quality make-up remover.

My favorite for a long time has been a Maybelline liquid eye liner (in light brown). The brush tip is very narrow, easy to use and stays on for the whole night.

Hey, what do you use so that your eye shadow doesn't crease and fade throughout the night? I use all MAC eye shadow and lately it creases, fades and even clumps up! It looks disgusting by the end of the night and even makes me look older . I'm desperate, I need to know how to set my eye shadow so it stays put, won't fade and is sweat proof. I work 8 hour shifts during the week and 10 hour during the weekend, in a club that has horrible circulation (ventilation) so even when it’s cold it’s hot and stuffy. I need to somehow make my eye make-up last through the whole night.
Thanks
dangerousdiva...i'm pretty sure mac makes an eyeshadow base that should help with that?
Oh, I musta took a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

I use MAC Paint in Untitled and MAC CCB in Hush. My e/s will stay put even if I fall asleep with it.Originally Posted by dangerousdiva

Thanks for all your suggestions! Venus Goddess, do you apply the MAC paint under your eye shadow as a base? What do you apply the paint with? Also, I have Hush in a regular MAC eye shadow, how is it different than the CCB, and what do you apply the CCB with?
Thanks

My eyes are always watering, pretty much when I'm walking/moving around, not when I'm just like sitting at home, it's weird...and I use pencil eyeliner and it always gets like washed away or smeared, I have to dab my eyes a lot....bugs me, my eyeliner is like gone after a night at work lol....I dunno what to do about my eyes and smudgy eyeliner....GAH! Liquid liner just looks funny on me.
try gel eyeliner...you get staying power without the harsh look of a liquid
I'm really into Bobbi Brown's gel eyeliner. Make sure you get the accompaning brush.

What exactly is the difference between gel and liquid? I mean in terms of how it looks on the skin?
to me, gel looks like perfect pencil....it goes on easily, thin or thick, blends when wet, dries quickly, doesn't tug, waterproof. I cannot get an even line with liquid so I keep putting more on and eventually it's too thick. Not with gel! smooth and perfect once you get the hang of it. Putting eyeliner on with a brush is odd the same way lip liner was when you first used it.
Just awesome. I'm not alone in thinking this....

WOW!! Thanx for your help girls.
But one last thing I need to ask you, do you know any good brands that do false eye lashes??

I just sqeeze out a teeny, tiny bit of paint onto my ring finger and gently smooth it onto my lid. Then I use my finger and rub it into the CCB (Cream Color Bases come in pans) and gently PAT it over the paint (no rubbing). Since the CCB doesn't really dry and it stays tacky, you would use whatever brushes you normally use (if you don't have any good brushes, then go to Target and buy some Sonia Kashuk brushes...they are just as good as the MAC brushes, but much cheaper) to apply your eye make-up. Only, instead of "spreading" the color on, you would gently pat the color into place. Use a little bit more of the color than usual so blending the colors are a bit easier.Originally Posted by dangerousdiva
Not only will a good base make your color POP, but it'll create a good base for the e/s to stick and stay to. I used this while I was dancing, and my make-up didn't move. I still went up for touch-ups as I'm anal like that, but I would put the e/s on at 3pm and at 5am (even without touch-ups) my e/s still looked vibrant and fresh.
Ooopsy...sorry, didn't answer part of your question. Cream Color Base is more of a "cream" make-up. It's not good by itself...it creases. The Hush color you are speaking of is just a powder color. The CCB comes in a variety of colors, but I got the Hush because it's more neutral and will go well under any color (dark or light). The MAC Paint also comes in a variety of colors, but choosing a neutral here, as well, will enable you to use it with any color. Putting the paint on first, creates a "dry canvas" so to speak for the CCB. Paint doesn't crease, but it also doesn't "hold" color like CCB. So, putting paint on first gives the CCB something to stick to (without creasing) and the CCB gives the e/s something to really stick to. Only put CCB over where the paint is, and you really only need to put paint on your lid, up to the crease.
If you want, I'll do a little picture tutorial (or maybe I could get a little video tutorial going...). That way you can see exactly how I'm putting on the bases and the shadows.
I've always had good luck with the drug store brands (CRAP!! I forgot the names!!!) They come in the pink and yellow packages...I think one is by Ardell...and the other, I cannot remember for the life of me...Originally Posted by Vampira132
But, you can get them in just about any drugstore (Jewel-Osco, CVS, Walgreens, etc).

Thank You!!!!
