    Smiley waitress/dancer teamwork

(Okay... I think I've done my thread search homework... however, if I wasn't thorough enough, please direct me to the right threads...)

I'm a good salesperson and know how to be professional and cooperative. Does anyone have additional tips or suggestions on how to have a better relationship with the dancers and other staff while working as a waitress? I read the previous thread on this, but it was very limited.
What would make your jobs easier as dancers? What do you find annoying from the waitresses? What did you find helpful? Etc...

I know a large part of my answer will be to learn from the example and direction of the dancers/waitresses at the club. However, this is a diverse network and I have gained very much from your posts. I appreciate any feedback. Thank you all for your time.

    Default Re: waitress/dancer teamwork

I have seen some very successful dancer/waitress teams, and they seemed to work like this: waitresses are one of the first people a customer comes in contact with in the club (after the doorgirl and maybe the valet) and they can affect the customer's whole outlook and expectations.

Occasionally customers will just ask their waitress who the best dancers are, and the waitress can then recommend anyone she wants. A more pro-active waitress can chat with a customer and ask him what he's looking for in a dancer, and then recommend whoever she wants as being the perfect girl. Now, if a customer definitely requests a blonde, then the waitress either has to send a blonde over, or has to redirect the sale to suit whatever dancer she has in mind. I think guys who request a particular phenotype are the exception, though. Most seem to say something more general like "I'm looking for someone to have fun with" or "I'm looking for a way to relax after work." Waitress then says "You know who's really fun? My friend Ecstacy!" or "You know who could really help you relax? She's so sweet... Ecstacy!"

Basically, once you know what they want, just tell them the dancer of your choosing will satisfy those requirements. (Obvious exception would be the customer who tells you he wants a blowjob. Then you either have to find a girl who will give one or decline to make the sale. NEVER say a girl will do anything she won't do. Good way to ruin everyone's night.)

Dancers usually return a waitress' help by ordering a lot of drinks, urging customer to drink, urging customer to buy the waitress shots -- basically running up the waitresses sales figures (in clubs that keep track of those things) and inflating the customer's bill, which usually results in a bigger tip for the waitress. I've never been involved in a long-term waitress/dancer partnership, though I've helped out waitresses and they've helped me, but I would definitely consider it. From what I've seen, they work well for everyone.
