I don't feel one bit bad for his family. They more-than-likely caused him to be that way.

If they are innocent, I do feel bad for them.

Who knows what caused it... I dont even know if he jumped or was pushed... stuff like that hardly ever makes the news here.... It is really sad though... if his family messed him up and he jumped then may they live with their guilt... if it was nothing to do with them then my wishes are with them.

If life is too miserable to live, then I don't begrudge the choice to end it. However, it's still a selfish choice that effects everyone around you. One of my high school friends blew his brains out in the kitchen and was discovered by his sister, who had just returned from the bakery with her Sweet 16 birthday cake. That was seriously selfish and wrong. The shithead could have at least done it in the parking lot of a polica station, as cops are more used to that kind of thing than most people.

Hey at least you didnt see it happen and they had a sheet over his head. I just think of the dead as "sleeping".
It may be wierd to you because instead of hearing or seeing something like that on the news you saw death in real life.

It would mess with me, I still think about people who died in car crashes when I go by the places it happened at. It's just like " this is where a person died and their soul found out what the after life is like". It just gets to me .

I've seen this too many times myself... including one from my building a while back. I've also heard of people being thrown from balconies over drug deals and the like.

I've also seen two people die underneath subway trains and a third was killed by a train I was a passenger on I also witnessed one botched subway suicide attempt. I'll never forget the looks on the firefighters' faces as I walked past them on their way in.

    Not a particularily pleasant topic...

I can empathize. My building manager went off her meds when her brother died and a week later threw herself off our building. She seemed happy and her usual social self. We didn't see it coming. I felt bad that I didn't catch any signs but all you can do is hope they are in a peaceful state now.

Seeing the dead is uncomfortable for me as well it doesn't matter how it happend . I had a girl die in my arms once she was in a terrible traffic accident on I-40 not many people were around and they just kind of walked away from her and attended her partner who was in the middle of the road . A nurse who was on the scene saw me walking towards her and said" there is nothing we can do for her" . I said "well someone should be with her " so I crouched down beside her and kind of cradled her in my arms she was faintly moaning but her eyes were shut I just kind of talked to her and told her everything would be okay . A few minutes later she passed on - you kind of have a deep exhale of air in the end it was very sad . Sorry about my ramble as the thread kind of brought back my own memories .

What an incredibly kind and courageous thing you did then, CuriousJ. I'm sure you provided her with a tremendous sense of comfort---no one should have to die alone, uncomforted, on the side of the highway. You made sure that poor woman didn't have to.

I can't believe people would choose that way to go. That's got to be a horrible ending. I would rather shoot some heroin or cut my wrists or something less shocking.

I watched one of my best friends die in front of me in a motorcycle accident. If I had left class on time, I would have been in front of him at the light, not behind him, and the people that ran him over would have hit my Chevy pickup instead of his motorcycle.

My uncle stabbed himself to death in his basement. It's a really long and fucked up story that started before I was born. A year and a half later, I still don't know what to think of the whole thing.

    Sorry to hear lunchbox

God I started a depressing thread I was just kind of shocked to know that someone in the same building as me died outside of the building from taking a leap off his damn balcony. That would have to be such a bad way to go too because your waiting for the impact.. okay im done thinking about it.

Those of you who have shared their stories on here I am really sorry to hear about your loses Its never an easy thing to witness..

I would be fucked for life if I did something like that! You have to be a very strong person J. I know if I was in that situation I would have done the same but thank God I have not been.
