    Default Shoe question....

I've been dancing a year and I just can't get used to really thin heeled shoes. sometimes platforms work and sometimes they don't. I have a decent pair of knee high boots that I can move well in, but I need a bigger selection. My question is, of those of you who dance more energetically/ faster and need a lot more supportive/stable type of shoe, what shoes have you found that you can really move in? What brand/style? I -can- dance in 7 inch stilettos, I'm just not able to dance the way I'm used too. My boots are the best option I've found, but they don't allow for much flexibility in the arch area. I danced "gogo" style at an alternative club for many years on platforms and etc. but I was able to wear flatter styles (docs and etc). If they would let me dance in my lime green docs at the club I would be so happy, but alas, no can do.

Try a chunk heel. There are lots of nice style chunk heel boots. Also try a cone heel. I've only seen the cone heel in shoes.
