    Smiley Happy Cinco de Mayo

I'm late, it was yesterday but still.

    Any plans for the festivities?

It was Friday anyways. If I partied any harder than I already do, I'd probably succomb to alcohol poisoning!

I know it isn't very popular these days to appreciate anything of Mexican culture but I love it. I don't care if people think I'm a traitor or whatever for not hating anything that isn't pure Americana. There is just way too many great things and cultures to be explored for me to ignore everything that isn't apple pie and baseball.

I always look forward to Cinco de Mayo and had a grand time this year. We attended a festival style event and then ate traditional Mexican food like there was no tomorrow. I enjoyed sipping on some excellent tequila too. Our holiday ended with my husband and I dancing under the stars late into the night.

Another wonderful Cinco de Mayo for the memory book!

    Amen to that. ^

I love learning about all types of culture as well.

Anyway, I went to meet up with my gf & her friends at Chevy's. Place was a mayham. Looked fun, but I just can't deal with huge young college roudy crowds. I feel too old for that. 24....but

Besides drinking award winning amounts of alcohol and blaming it on the mexicans?

    A thread from 2006?!?

Hey Verf - you resurrected an old one! We'll let it slide this time considering the main purpose of this thread still applies

^^^ No need to create new clutter.

We're funny on this board. If someone repeats a topic, we'll tell them to use the search function because it's been done before, but if they resurrect an old thread we ask them why. LOL.

I don't mind recycling. But I do find it funny when people bring back an old thread and give feedback or advice to the OP who is long since departed from the site.
