Ok...so I have a wireless network at our house. The main router is on my computer downstairs. The "wireless" card is on scorpio's computer upstairs. Now, when I put our router in (my computer) I 'secured' it so that not just anyone could use the internet from it.
All is fine and good. I just tried to hook scorpio's computer (new wireless card) and tried to log onto our secured network. It asked for a passcode: this is where I get confused. When I secured our router, I got a WPA Network Key (it's like 64 letter/numbers long). I printed that page up and used the same passcode to log onto our secured 'router'. It keeps telling me that "The Network passcode needs to be 40 bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters."
What the fuck does that mean? I can gain access to the internet right now because it appears that I have a few neighbors with an unsecured wireless router...but I really prefer to be on my own secured router...
HELP!!!!!!
