Default Curious Londoner with scared boyfriend

    Hey guys.

I've been lurking on this site for a while now gathering all the useful tips I can. You all seem so kind and helpful to stupid/naive/insert your own description here newbies like myself. I guess you all know what it feels like huh? I'm a poor student
who likes dancing, dressing up, being the centre of attention and being naked so I figured this would be a good job for me. I'm still really nervous though.

I'm really keen on starting out but can't find much info on London Uk (that's where I am). Anyone worked in London ever? I'm particularly interested in the stage-show only type strip pubs, while I'm new at least.

To be honest the only thing thats stopping me pick up the phone and call for an audition right now is that my boyfriend is not really happy with it. It's not really the fact that other people would be looking at me... he'd probably be proud of me! But he says I would be sharing a "sexual experience" with the customers. For me it wouldn't be, but for them it would. Sorry if thats not very clear....
Basically any scared boyfriend advice would be helpful. I love him very much and I wouldn't do anything to put our reationship in jeopardy... but MAN do I need the money!!!

    Thanks in anticipation xx

you know thats strange i just sort of had that conversation with myboyfriend yesterday. i brought it up,, fortunatley for me he was cool with it,, as long as i wasnt giving other dudes blow jobs or anything else... what i would suggest is talk to him about it ,, and figure out what is and isnt acceptable in his mind... if he can dealw ith you taking your clothes off and wigglining around while other guys look at you then,, it should be alright.. i am also a very broke student and my retail job sucks ass right now,, they are cutting my hours like crazy and i have been there for 2 years. i mean i hardly make 300 bucks in 2 weeks. the money would be sweet. just tell him why you want to do it,, and find out what it is exaclty he wouldnt want you to be doing and see if you can find a compromise..

It's really rare to find a boyfriend who's totally okay with his gf dancing. There are all sorts of hardships that come to US with dancing, and the people close to us (especially our SO) are no exception. Just explain to the guy that you need the money, this isn't going to be your life long job, etc.

My boyfriend has the same attitude! What we're going to do is go to the clubs I'd like to work at together. He said maybe he'll warm up to the idea if he sees that the clubs are nice.

Can't help with the Boyfriend but on London look at http://www.mypole.co.uk/articles.htm for general stuff m also at www.strip-magazine.com for the latest gossip and features on some clubs/pubs. The best strip pubs in London are Browns/Griffin and the White Horse Shoreditch. The WH is jug collection stage shows only, there is that in Browns but also private dancing. House fee at the WH is only £10 and the have good changing rooms, DJ, great stage etc. Browns is difficult to get a job at but can provide 5 or more shifts a week. WH is also quite fussy but as they only have 3 to 5 girls a shift 2/3 bookings a week are more usual.

Outside of central London, try the Entertease, Angels Exotic and Promises agencies.

    www.entertease.com
    www.angelsexotic.co.uk
    www.promises-agency.co.uk

I'd recommend Entertease as your first port of call. It's owned by Janice O'Halloran, who seems to be well regarded by her dancers. (Unfortunately, she's a bit in and out of hospital at the moment, so it might take her a day or so to get back to you.)

Thumbs up Re: Curious Londoner with scared boyfriend

    Thanks guys...

Anyone know anything bout Sunset Strip? I've heard it can be a pretty good place to work and would be most convenient for me to travel to. I live fairly central cos I have to for uni.

The pub places sound good cos you don't have to work past about midnight (hope that hasn't changed with new licensing laws!... gotta love the government . And to be honest, the less shifts the better. I am broke but I've still got my uni work to do.

Also, do you know whether they prefer foreigners? I've heard strippers in London are now mainly poles, brazilians, spaniards etc etc Will being just plain old boring English put me at a disadvantage? I know guys sometimes like the whole exotic thing... And immigrants are often easier to employ if you know what I mean Not trying to be rude- I just live in a big multicultural city, I wouldn't have it any other way. I just have to tell it like it is!

I understand the Sunset is a decent enough place to work but not that good an earner. There is no bias against English girls amongst the customers though some places { eg the Axe and Sports Bar} seem to be dominated by 1 nationality. If you don't want to work that often I'd try the White Horse, it's about 5 minutes walk from Liverpool St is open from 12am to 12pm, it's jug collection { minimum £1} stage shows only. Several of the best girls eg Eloiuse, Estee, Faye are English and several girls who work at the Sunset also work here. The web site is www.thewhitehorsepub.biz .

I can recommend Sunset Strip, I used to work there for a while. Really nice managment, money can be good if you get the right shifts, of course if you really want to make great money you need to go to Browns or Spearmint.

Just give them a call, Sunset Strip is a nice place to work, cool girls, no hustle and the freedom to do whatever you want with your costumes/ stage shows. The audition is really easy too. If you want any more info just send me a PM.

    Good luck!
