Default stop putting down the feature dancer!

we have features at the club i am currently at. i think what they do is super cool and if we meet eyes i'll smile and introduce myself. i usually compliment them on their shows, even if the show wasnt my particular style- it takes guts to do it. by my god! people at this place are so mean to them! our features have been a bit older (30s) and have been doing this for awhile, but to me that doesnt matter. i think it's a strength to last that long in this business (10+ years).

customers dont tip them, they say they dont like them (even the big name ones), and refer to them as aging pornstars who should have left the business i bring up points such as: ' well, i think it takes a lot of guts to promote yourself like that and get out there. look at how many house dancers versus features we have- it's not easy.' and 'so what if she's a bit older. i give her kudos for doing that. tempest storm is in her 70s and still shaking it'

i wanted to feature, but i dont do porn. now i'm reconsidering it after i see how custies treat them. any of you girls have this at your club?

You can still feature without the porn. You just need to do modeling and competitions(ie the miss nudes a popin show, miss nude canada etc). Do pole dancing competitions, have flexability and energy. Some features I have to admit are just plain horrid. What kind of features is your club bringing in? Some customers are just plain rude... so who knows what it is. Though I have to admit feature dancing now vs 10 even 5 years ago is a lot different. My club brings in a lot of features and I feel I have seen every kind. Some I cant find a single good thing to say about... best one yet i've laid eyes on though is Jeanie Stallone... omg that girl knows how to work a crowd...

My club also gets features, and the customers seem to have mixed reviews of them. The older customers seem to not like them as much and prefer the house girls who are more natural, while the younger customers go nuts over the features. I'm going to startout as a featuring, so I hope not all clubs are negative about features. I'm sure there are a lot of clubs that love them, otherwise there wouldn't be as many features.

The few feature friends I have dont usually complain about getting treated that way. They do very well at the clubs they go to. If they have a problem with one club... they just dont go back to it. I've gone to a few clubs with one feature I know, and she gets THE best reception from customers and dancers alike. They love her.

And no, she's not a porn feature. This is what she's done.

My features are usually pron stars, they don't seem to care about the response of the crowd because they paid per show. They get all their money up front and most of them give whatever tips they make to the other dancers...
I can only see them caring if they want to come back the next year. A few were not welcome back becauses their pictures were deceiving (gained a lot more weight, bad boob job, a lot older)..
Custies either come to see them (we have alot of big names) or they watch them do their show, tip and then turn back to the house girls.
Other than that the features come, do their show, skip to the other sister club in town and then back to their hotel...
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

Older customers not liking features really has nothing to do with the house girls being more natural. It has to do with the fact that older customers generally go to strip clubs for an entirely different purpose than younger customers do.

Older customers (namely the ones with big tiprolls who can afford to buy several dances, or VIPs) come for a hostess/companionship type experience. When a feature dancer is on stage, the audience in the entire club is pretty much forced to play attention to her show, which detracts attention away from where the customer would rather put it.

Younger guys OTOH are usually just there for a guys' night out, and many of them cannot afford lap dances. They just want to go see some T&A, so having a feature in the club to them is considered a bonus.

Personally, while I have nothing against features (I have a polaroid with Jada Deville from some years back who was very nice), I make it habit to avoid clubs that bring them in when one is booked. The whole idea runs contrary to my motivation for being at the club and I'm sure a lot of guys my age and older feel the same.

I'm also sure a number of house dancers who are dependent on regular customers tend to hold similar reservations about features, because during that time that everyone has to watch the feature's performance, its impeding their ability to make money, much like bachelor humiliation dances or cattle calls do.

Our feature shows dont start untill late afternoon... we have on at 4:30 then they dont go again till around 9pmish I think the main reason for this is they are more for the 'kids' then they are the mature adults. As doc said(and he hit it right on the nail) mature older men are there for the companionship of a girl not the big show they put on.

Wow, that is terrible. I am happy to say that have never any witnessed any widespread disrespect for features. I have heard a few negative comments here and there but I don't remember it being a common event.

We just had Jada Deville as a feature here a couple of months ago. Very nice, but she got the dj drunk, took over the booth, and made one of the new girls dance to "I'm A Sweet Transvestite" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I work with a girl who features when she is not at the ranch and she agrees that she likes that she gets paid per show....
