too blessed to be stressed
? Beef cubed steak? Those are used in stews and stuff, aren't they?
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

i dunno....i heard about frying it...... ???
You take them out of the package and rinse them off. Then you immerse them in flour. Next you salt and pepper them. Put about a quarter cup of canola oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat and let it warm for about 3 minutes. Carefully add the steaks. Let them fry for about 15 minutes or until brown on both sides. If you run out of oil add a little more. I am not good and making the cube steak gravy. I usually buy one of those little packets in the store to make gravy with. Mashed potatoes or rice is always a good side dish with cube steak.

can i use veggie oil? do nt have canola that sounds real good. thanx
Yeah, Vegetable oil will be fine. Sure.![]()

hmmmm ill try that tonight or tomorrow ill let u know how it turns out. i have a habit of burning new things.
Not necessarily. You can cube just about any cut of meat you like.Originally Posted by Bella21

Definately choose a better cut of beef!

its not in cubes. its like how ground beef comes, big pieces. i know what the little chunks are for. these r not chunks
Hey, at least you know what cubed beef is! I'd never heard of it prior to your post
So much for my rep. as a serious amateur chef!!
I fry em in butter, salt, pepper and garlic
As they cook I tend to either put whiskey in with em or barbque sauce

mmmmm sounds good. ijust went an got my nails done and came back and b/f had already made a frozen lasagna. i refuse to eat it, dont like lasagna. so ill make the cube steak manana

so i got scared about the hot oil....always makes me nervous, esp. when im home alone, so i didnt even finish the meat....its still sitting in oil. but i ate the potatos! lol maybe next time...
Swiss steak! Yummy... here's what you do/need:
Cubed steak
Flour, salt and pepper, season salt and paprika and garlic powder (if you like it)
2 cans of Tomato sauce
1 can of water
1 tsp of olive oil
Preheated oven at 400 degrees
Put the flour and spices on a plate and mix together. Rinse off the cubed steak, and cover the steak in the flour mixture. Pat the cubed steak until its covered on both sides... place in a glass baking dish...
In a separate bowl, combine the tomato sauce and water and olive oil, and mix together, pour over the steak in the baking dish and bake uncovered for thirty minutes until bubbly.
This is best served with white rice straight out of a rice cooker and whole grain baked bread. Or, have it with rice and a salad... YUMMMY!
