    Default Tips for belly pudge

I've developed a bit of a belly! Does anyone know any tips for helping with your middle area? I've seen commericals about dairy helping.

If I remember correctly, distribution of fat around the middle is related to cardiovascular health. So maybe strengthening your cardiovascular system by cutting your saturated fat intake and increasing (sustained) aerobic activity would help.

Also, cut down on the booze! (I don't even know if you drink, but if so, that's your culprit).

lots of water, fiber and cardio. stay away from dairy if you have any sort of lactose sensitivity, as it will only make your stomach puff more. also avoid salt and sugar.

stress can also cause abdominal weight, so if you've got any new situations causing you additional stress to eliminate or ease them.

sit ups and other abdominal exercises won't slim your tummy down, but if you can burn the fat with cardio they will add definition. but if you have good posture and use those core stomach muscles regularly,as we all should, the sit ups won't even be necessary. just think about pulling your belly button towards your spine pretty much all the time. keep your hips in line with your shoulders; don't just suck your stomachin and push your butt out. you want to focus on compressing your diaphram.

salads, proteins...chicken, vegetables... light on the carbs.. lots of cardio.. drink tons of water.. control your portions...... its all about moderation.... and yeah, not that i have much room to talk, but watch the alcohol intake.... especially if you're drinking cocktails and beer that have a lot of calories in them. i know i drink things mixed with soda water.. which has no calories.. i still have a shot of vodka in it, but every little bit helps to water it down so it doesn't make u gain weight.... bottom line, if you're working out hard enough and watching what you eat u shouldn't have to worry... good luck girl

I beleive the reason they say dairy will help with belly fat is that is contains conjugated lineolic acid (CLA) which may play a role in reducing fat, particularly belly fat. Red meat and dairy both contain CLA, though the way the cattle are raised and processed these days, there is less of it in both. Since dairy itself may contribute to belly fat, you're probably better off getting your CLA in supplement form. As to whether those work, there are some threads around here somewhere...sorry, I'm to lazy to do the search right now. I've been taking Tonalin CLA for a few months, and have lost 12 lbs and flattened my belly a good ammount...however, I've also been working out, so how much the weight loss has to do with the CLA I couldn't really say.

The yoga dork in me has to dispute this. It's a common myth, but just not true. In order for a musle to function properly, let alone get stronger, it has to relax between contractions. Holding your abdominal muscles in all the time will actually weaken them, and can also cause constipation and lower back pain. Your abdominal muscles should move with your breath; relax on inhale, contract on exhale.

Belly pudge is from a "loose" diet. Tighten it up some and you should notice a difference.

Would you stop it with the liposuction already? Geezus.

And, if you had to have liposuction done 6 times, I would say that it's not very effective in the long term. Save your money and learn how to eat right and exercise.

Is it possible belly fat is genetic too? It seems some girls lose weight off their stomachs and naturally have bigger hips while some just don't...I have 33 inch hips, naturally slender legs and butt...and it's so friggin hard to make my waist comparatively as small. My mom's the same way...I run five miles a day, plus I do yoga every day....I've really cut down on junk, I don't want to lose much more weight because I don't want to lose the C-cup (and I'm a small enough size I think). But I want to get my waist smaller than 26 inches, and I don't know how (I'm real fixated on attaining that whole 0.7 ratio thing). It seems that i only lose an inch off my waist when I lose about eight pounds, and I don't want to look emaciated. I work with another girl who lost a bunch of weight and her waist just looks trim, just like that. Not fair! lol

Should I just wear a corset?

^^I'm sure you look hot as is, but here's a link for you and anyone else interested in waist training/corsets:

    http://www.corsetheaven.com/corsets/corset.asp

I love corsets and as long as you don't go overboard with the tight lacing, they're healthy.

For me though, my stomach pudge always, always is caused by yeast-y things like bread and beer. I just puff up like a 5 months pregnant woman, lol!
Yeast expands things, so it makes sense I suppose.

    Re: Tips for belly pudge

I have had it done 6 times in different area. And I probably eat healthier thatn you. It's called genetics like your girl said.
I eat a raw diet and I take care of myself. Everytime I get lipo it is not in the sugery room. It's called touch-up lipo. they don't pull the machine out. It's done in the office with a needle and a mini sucker.
I have had as little as 120 cc's taken out and this time I had 1700 cc's from my arms, lower n mid back, tummy, sides and I had my belly button redone.
Lipo is great if you can mainatin it.
It's so like strippers to put down liposuction but have too big boobs for the real world.

Haha yeah... hypocritical but wow... six times looked like a lot but they are mini ones. That makes a significant difference.

    I'll lace you up CK...

Seriously though, I got into it through my goth friends. I didn't do the real waist training like some of them did (mostly in it for the fashion), but I found that wearing corsets took a couple inches off after wearing them for awhile. However, like I said, my main problem is yeast bloating, so staying away from that keeps me nice and hourglass-y.

Sorry I couldn't give you specific help, but if you check out that link you should be on your way

That is the way to flatten your stomach. You can get a colon cleanse product at the natural foods store, and used in conjunction with going to a colon therapy clinic and getting colonics for a short period of time, you WILL have the same results Jayda did.

Forget what you see on TV. Dairy doesn't work. ANY ad a large publicly traded company runs on TV is a scam and is brainwashing the public to buy their products. A combination of what Just Jayda and Venus Goddess said is the only thing that will reduce your belly.

Why are you all hating on Dasha? She is taking care of herself. We all wear makeup, get boob jobs, nose jobs, hair extentions, etc....

Dasha, tell me more about this type of liposuction. What type of anesthesia does it use and what are the costs?

Yea.. nothing wrong with lipo... I want it too, but fuck i am waiting too long for this surgeon's consult.

i figure if i am going under for my nose again, i might as well get some lipo done at the same time.

I don't see anything wrong with lipo, but if someone just has a protruding belly, they may not need to go that far.

What's wrong with your nose? Did it not heal completely straight like mine? Is it starting to look crooked? Nosejobs are the most repeated procedure, its almost impossible to get it to heal perfectly. Paris Hilton had hers done 3 times and it doesn't look good at all! I also wasn't told that "tipoplasty" was a seperate procedure...that's what I want done, but not a priority.
