    Default Tampa - rentals?

I was wondering if any of you know of spacious rental property in tampa? I'm renting a 755 SF one bedroom right now for 635.00 a month, but I need something bigger. The problem is that I can't afford to spend more than 700.00 a month. Everything I've found around here that's spacious and affordable is in the ghetto. Any suggestions? I've already searched rent.com apartments.com etc. etc. over the last couple years. I do it constantly. My lease here is up at the end of July and I don't want to renew it for a 3rd year, but I'm having so much trouble finding anything worth the move. :/

Yeah, everything in Tampa is expensive as hell it seems. I thought that was weird when I first moved here but I guess that's the way it is. I think if you are willing to move further away from everything you can find a bigger place for cheaper or maybe in Brandon. You could try Seminole Heights as it seems there are still some deals there on renting houses. Also you might check on tbo.com. That is how I found the apartment I have now but it's smaller than what you have but about the same price. Do you have to renew for a whole year at the end of your lease? Sometimes they automatically rewew month to month.

You could try driving around and looking for smaller complexes, craig's list, or the paper.

I just was looking up apts yesterday because I was pissed off with where I live because my toilet backed up and my A/C isn't working like it should. Everything nice is so damned expensive.

If you have the commute time and can tolerate the drive on US19 you could go north towards Tarpon or even a bit further towards PR/NPR. My niece recently rented a nice house (a little bigger with two BR's) in Tarpon for about $700.

    Good luck.
