wow, I know these type of programs are often used to help concieve, but I've never seen one so simple that I'ld want to use it for contraception! This is really cool, and I would get it if I were in a serious relationship.

What do you call a woman who uses the rythym method? Pregnant.
I would only consider this thing if I wanted to get pregnant, not if I were trying to prevent it.

[QUOTE=Irelynx]If a girl knows her body well enough then she can tell exactly when she's ovulating. However, that doesn't help the situation to prevent pregnancy. Spern can survive 3-5 days inside, so that rules out sex anytime prior to ovulation since one month you could end up ovulating a couple days earlier than usual.
they say is calculated by the computer as well (FAQ #7)

When is it that your body is supposed to be the most fertile/likely to concieve?
Is it 15 days after your last peroid?

I've been using mine for a year and love it. Women are taught not to trust their bodies. Fuck the pharmasutical companies. They wanna sell me birthcontrol hormones now so they can help cure the cancer they give me later.
By the way, this is not the rythm method. It's called family planning. And the computer takes into account sperm left in the body prior to ovulation. Read all the details on the product. women also use this same method without the computer doing a mucus test or taking their basal body temperature, which is what the computer does.
Many women find that they struggle less with their weight when they stop hormonal birthcontrol. Added bonus.

According to this you are using the rhythm method. You're just using a device to help you have more accurate results with that form of birth control.
By the way, any form of birth control or premeditated pregnancy is considered family planning.
I would go for it. I just wouldn't use it alone. I would use it to find out when im most at risk to get prego. Then avoid having sex or if you do be extra extra carefull
Thanx for the link Cristalla. And thank-you for posting Sad Sally. Docotors won't let me take estrogen bc pills due to tia's, and the progesten only pills don't work very well for me. This looks like a viable option to use in conjunction with the progesten pills, until my bf makes spermcicles and gets snipped.![]()

I like the pull-out method myself.
Been working for 11 years now.
