    Default Coversations you hate

What are some of the conversations customers start with you that you hate the most? One of mine is the "Let's compare you to the dancer on stage" convo. I don't mean that we should ignore her completely or that the customer shouldn't watch. I just hate when the guy keeps going "When do you get up there?" "Can you do THAT?" ..... "What about that?" .... "Are you a better dancer than her?" etc etc.

Another one of my pet peeve conversations is when the guy will -not- stop bringing up my boyfriend, regaurdless of how many times he's politely redirected. First of all, I don't ever bring him up unless I'm asked directly if he exists. I hate questions like "What does he do?" "Why does he let you stip" "Doesn't it bother him?" "If -I- were him........." "Why do you have to strip?" etc. etc.

I hate the "what else do you do other than this, like what's your normal job?" or
"what made you decide to choose this as a career?"
"how much money do you make in a night?"

I almost never mind a reciprocal conversation about anything. What I have a hard time dealing with are people who just talk at me, about nothing, and won't let me get a word in edgewise to turn the conversation around. The worst was a guy I used to call the Most Boring Man in the World. His pet topic was what the traffic was like on his way to the club, and he could expound on it for easily forty minutes given half the chance. I'd make a lot of money if I could wait it out long enough, but oh my god. I swear he almost made my head explode more than once.

5 million reasons your too good for this job/lifestyle

***HELLO!!! I'm 18 and am closing on my own house in august!! I'm too smart to waste my life behind a checkout counter, ringing up moms w/ 5 kids (2 of them crying) and dirty old men, looking at my boobs/ass for free! Making MAYBE 8$ an hour! Not when I can make 50$ on a bad hour, with no caps to how much I can make on the good ones!

I always want to tell them, I'll quit if you will give me 10,000$ a month!

I hate when they ask why I don't have a boyfriend. Um, do I have to have a boyfriend just because you think I'm hot?? And by the way, after my last [very painful] relationship, I really don't want one...It's hard for me to not tell them about this, because I almost want them to feel guilty about bringing it up so they won't try to get personal with me again!

I would be really happy if I never had to hear the following things ever again:
"So tell me about your tattoos"
"How many tattoos do you have?"
    "Did that tattoo hurt?"
"Wow I bet you really regret some of those tattoos, huh?"
And so on. I'm fucking sick of talking about my tattoos! I seriously get asked about them 10+ times on an average shift, and I also get asked about them by guys outside the club constantly! For a while I tried charging a fee to talk about them; I told customers that if they gave me ten bucks I would tell them the meaning behind each of my nine tattoos. I think only one ever did it, the rest just laughed like I was kidding, and usually kept pressuring me to talk about them anyway. Ugh.

This type of stuff is what made me hate stripping. When they are asking you that shit, they are trying to stir up shit is what they are doing. They are trying to plot you against each other. Just say, "Each person is unique, and therefore, you can't compare. That would be your opinion." If he asks questions about your bf, just say you don't tell personal information about yourself in the club.

Strip clubs draw some of the most annoying people in the world. I knew that if I heard those questions one more time I was going to scream, and sometimes I actually did. I am not good at doing the same thing repetitively, eventuallly it drives me insane. That's why I have to have careers where I can grow and learn, and I couldn't be someone who continually asks dancers the same questions over and over, or someone who even frequents strip clubs. It's interesting every now and then, but I would get bored with the lifestyle.

Different strokes... some people feel at home there, and that is okay. We are all here to fulfill our purpose.

Be careful with this offer. That's only $120K a year. There are enough guys who own successful businesses who could put you on salary, benefits, bonuses and travel at this level and never even flinch. This is particularly true on either coast. Trust me on this. Push it to 20K a month. That will raise eyebrows and take you into an entirely different league.

What's objectionable is not really the money -- it's that they are treating you like you are too helpless or clueless or confused to make your own decisions about your working life, to say nothing about the choices in your personal life. That alone is offensive enough to be a turnoff. If you don't already like a guy for who he is, all the money in the world will not make the slightest difference.

I get the boyfriend and do you get turned on questions alot but my favorite remark that I get at least once a night is "If you were my girl I wouldn't let you strip." My answer to them is always .... and thats why I'm not yours, and walk away. I mean where do they get off thinking that I would let them control me anyway? whatever... crazy peeps.

Yup! I've never actually said it, but if I was going to, 20 sounds a ton better!
I hate that b/c im innocent looking they think I don't fit in. I love my job cash+flexibility+fun+nudity, what's not to love! Also, I think it's mostly only the shmucks who want to save the "damsel in distress" hoping for sex who say this. The rich guys admire it more.

What do I hate the most. . .hmmmm. . .

. . .I hate conversations about the lies they tell their wives.

I don't like it when guys who have been to jail for serious crimes talk about their past.
No fidgety cocaine fueled conversations, please. It vibes me the wrong way.

Also, no reenactments of pedophilic fantasies. No customer is "Daddy" and I'm not a little girl.

Yes, exactly! Most of the rest of this stuff, I can handle, even thrive upon by cranking out the BS. But talk about criminal charges in their past, especially say, sex with a minor, um, well, at least they warned me to disengage as fast as I can.

this just reminded me of one particularly intense night. It was 9 pm, Players Club in downtown surfer's paradise, australia. This guy walks in, i'd say dressed like one of those olde timey gumshoe reporters from the movies, tweed jacket, loosie tie, 10'o clock shadow. The host goes in the back and says who wants a freak? me and this other girl who would soon be my best bud immediately look up.

so long story short this guy is tweaked on speed and gets VIP with me and this girl from 9 till 4:30 in the friggin morning. the owner actually stayed open a half hour longer. and this guy was telling us e-ve-ry-th-ing. sex with minors- his daughter's 13 yr old friend to be exact- how pre-pubescent females are an embodiment of god- how he was molested by his mother when he was a child (at this point my head was down on the couch and i was curled up. We had to take turns listening to him because he did NOT stop much for breath in those 8 hours.) and the worst thing was, horrible as it all sounded, there was definately an element of truth to it. it was one long drug-addled confessional and we were his priestesses.

I hate any conversations that have to deal with drama, customers discussing other dancers. Also questions about my background,or something like "Which is better US or Russia?"I also hate talking about politics at work.Anywhere else, just not there.

Anna PDX, I so know what you mean. I have a tatoo of a tree on my back that has a woman in it if you look closely, at least 5 times a night I am asked what it is (if they saw it from far) and what it means. It drives me insane.

I also say I don't have a boy-friend even though I do and I always get the how is it a pretty girl like you doesn't have a man as in my life is not complete if I don't have one. I always reply if it ever occured to them that maybe I don't want a man in my life and that I'm choosing to be single. I hate that presumption that of course I would want a man in my life. I happen to have one, but it doesn't mean that my life is empty without him. Sheesh.

Also, as many said, you're to _________to be a stripper. Particularly, you're too smart. Nooo, smart is knowing how the make the most money in as little time as possible.

I hate all those questions, but one I get every night that irritates me is:
    "Where you from?"

I don't have a particularly exotic look or accent. Perhaps it is just polite conversation-starting, but it pisses me off none the less. I change my answer accordingly. Anyone else get this??

KatGrrl: customers ask me all the time where I'm from, but it doesn't bother me, I think they're just trying to make conversation. I used to have light blonde hair and everyone always asked if I was Swedish. Now I have red hair and everyone asks if I'm Irish. I'm actually Dutch, and I use it as a conversational topic all the time.

I hate any conversation that is either a) boring or cliche to strippers or b) that does not involve money

I can tolerate the boring conversations if I'm being paid for my time. And the customers don't know when I'm bored or when I'm engaged. However, if I'm too engaged in conversation, I'll forget to ask for the sale, so really the boring conversations help keep me on task.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!
