    Tell me the brass tacks!

Okay ...Im sure about 50 billion newbies have come with the whole ..."Im thinking of being a dancer..yadda yadda." story, and quite frankly, mine isnt far from that!!

My experience as a retail manager for the past 3 years has provided me with a clear understanding of sales, marketing, operations. I chose to try dancing, firstly, because I have been labeled somewhat of an exhibitionist (in fun, but its true), and secondly, because I like the idea of having flexible hours, socializing, maybe the pay etc.

However, before I jump ship with my job, I would like to know the "down-side" of this field. Having a type A personality doesnt afford me the chance to "screw up" very often. So I would like to know as much as I possibly can.

    Thanx

the downside I guess is that if you have thin skin and can't handle rejection or game players, then it will take its toll.

If you have even an inkling for drinking or drug use, it's likely to grow expontentially.

And probably the biggest downside is that a lot of girls do not make money at this. Confidence and sales skills are way more important than being comfortable naked.

There's so many ups and downs of dancing. You can't judge this bizz. from the "outside" You have to join the club to really find out the good and the bad. IMO
It takes 46 muscles to frown but only 4 to flip 'em the bird
