    Default Something provocative

So gals, I'm trying to think of something provocative I can do as a customer to spark some conversation within a club.

What if I pull out a lollipop just after sitting down?

I would imagine some would project some sick fantasy I'm having. Others might find it intriguing.

    Any bites?

I agree with Em. The only conversation you could spark is, "stay away from that guy he's weird as hell" You're plan will surely backfire.

as the other girls have said... the conversation would likely be "what's up with the weirdo with the lollipop?" try a different angle.

Are you trying to talk to customers or dancers? As a customer I'd prefer other customers keep the provacative stuff to the entertainers themselves.

    Hilarious Doc,

    Thanks for the quick response.

I was just remembering one of those magical moments at a bar when I saw a good looking gal with a lollipop. She noticed me glancing at her, sauntered over, smiled, stuck the lollipop in my mouth and asked "Do you like how this tastes?"

You're right, it'd be creepy for a guy to do this.

Just another reminder of gender biased interpretations of actions.

Not that I'm against it, I find myself a bit gender biased myself.

yeah, leave the gimmicks to the girls.

it's our job to make conversation anyway. But if you really wanted to, it could be with your clothing, jewelry, etc. Something a guy would normally have.

Yeah, one guy brought a little budgee to the club. I used to work with animals. He didn't speak much English, but I bitched him out anyway. I said "Dude, you are going to kill that bird. Why the hell did you bring a bird? Don't smile. NO, I don't want to pet it. I think it's going to have a heart attack. Please bring the bird home or back to the pet store, for the love of God"

I'm pretty sure he brought it for dancer attention. I'm also pretty sure he was some kind of crazy. Customers' antics are never very well recieved I don't think. Money is lure enough for me.

As a customer, I love your type of idea. That means I get more attention from the girls You don't have to do anything other than be nice. The girls will come to you. At least, that is my experience.

Just something out of the ordinary? I personally would find the lolli amusing. SIlly little things amuse me. I remember a customer who knew I was an artist so he brought in a kiddie coloring book one time. Or my regular brings in odd lil quirky items to give as gifts. A black safety pin cause I'm his lil goth chick, things like that. One guy I knew dresses like some sort of 1970s pimp, sans the hat, and has a rubber chicken keychain hanging out of his back pocket. I HAD to talk to that guy. It was too interesting to me. But that's just me. I dunno. What a girl would find interesting and different depends on the girl. I would honestly say that something not Drunk Gropey Perv Guy would be different! Try out different things. Go for some intellectual stuff. Some goofy things... see what works and what doesnt.

I usually have 30 or so individually wrapped Lifesaver (tm) brand Wintergreen Breath Mints on my table. It started as a means of combatting the smell of my cigar when getting a lap dance, but what we found is that it draws attention. Ladies on rounds stop at the table and ask for a mint or just ask why do I have 30 mints on my table. One day last week, the bar ran out of mints for the ladies, and I found I was VERY popular.

Not sure if just having them counts as a gimmick and it sure as heck ain't provocative but if it is attention you want, it works. You just have to have a LOT, a ridiculous amount, because 5 mints won't turn their heads.

No, my stripclub experience has been about acceptance, and affirmation, and desirability...There have been some women who have a personality that just clicks with mine, and in the faux-sex atmosphere of the club, it's a mix that is completely seductive." - Jay Zeno

Be real. Don't try to amuse, entertain, or spark their interest...

That will set you apart from all the rest of the guys that are trying. It might not have as dramatic an effect, but the cooler ones will appreciate it.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

You know, my thought is if you need a gimmick for strippers to come talk to you, perhaps trying another club is in order?

Susan, laughed at the first post and realized you may be right on your second post.

Really, I wasn't tying to do anything that I thought would attract gals, just something to change the conversation to something a bit more interesting.

It's a day later and now when I read the post I wrote to start this thread, I'm creeping myself out.

Oh well, just chalk it up to stupid random thoughts.

Well, you're only human, doing what a guy wants to do around beautiful women--entertain them. Not a damned thing wrong with that, lol...

We're just trying to help you do it more effectively, by letting you know that the best way to do it is by being yourself, being natural--and letting your natural instinct bring out the best in you without trying too hard and spoiling it, or making it less pleasant than it can be for both you and the dancer you are talking to.

I hope you have fun out there.

You are obviously not really a creep, lol, just trying to be imaginative, and one of your ideas was maybe not appropriate for a lot of dancers out there. Who cares, you didn't do it, and now you know...

If I saw a guy with a lolly I would so be at that table so fast and cracking a smart as joke faster then your head would spin. But im just that kind of gal.... I have a hard time going to tables so if I see something that would help me strike a convo I can actually do it easier...

Someone reads to much Maxim. I will never forget the sock puppet gimmick I read in there. That is when I laughed my ass off at my friend for reading that clap-trap.

Yeah, a gold-wrapped Lady Godiva chocolate.

Bring a variety of types so she can choose which she likes. You will get conversation while the dancers choose. And maybe a thank-you later on that night.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.
