    Default New Stripper Wardrobe

I was just wondering, how often do you ladies treat yourself to a new outfit. I've been wearing the same outfits everytime I work (been working about 5months) and I'm just starting to feel blah when I wear them. I had one outfit I'd never worn before and as soon as I hit the floor, my co-workers were complimenting me, and I got a ton of dances!

So do alot of you just get a whole new wardrobe, or just mix in a few new pieces here and there?

i used to always buy new outfits, just because i could. i was very impulsive when it came to buying things. some of the outfits i only wore once. yes, it's nice to have new things to wear. they make you feel good about urself, and the confidence reflect in ur performance. however, i took things too far. now, i usually buy a new outfit every 2-3 months...if even that. i'm pretty picky about what i wear now, too. if you're getting bored with how you look, you can also change up some accessories, or even perhaps your hair and makeup.

i've heard mixed reviews about customers liking different costumes once in awhile. some say they don't matter since it all comes off anyway. others say that it adds to the show or fantasy or whatnot.

I have a ridiculous amount of outfits. I have started buying all unique stuff, that no one else in the club has. I find that I feel way sexy when I wear unique stuff. I also have a stripper outfit buying fetish. Bad bad bad!

I design and manufacture my own stuff so I can avoid seeing myself coming and going too. I like to change up every 6 months to a year. It makes me more conscious of my look--and more cocky! I think the guys pick up on the cockiness and like it because I suspect they don't reeally care about chick fashion.

i do a big order for clothes every 4-5 months, and one for shoes when ever i need them. cos i get wholesale stuff i tend to buy heaps, and what i dont like i sell on to girls at work.

i spend WAY more money on strippers clothes then i do real clothes, and i generally have more of a stripper wardrobe then real clothes. (except at the mo, cos i just got rid of almost my whole stripper wardrobe this year to move back to aussie)

i just started yesterday officially. and made some good money and seeing as how the only costume i have is the one i made, i went out and bought a few good pieces. its really gonna suck having a penthouse boutique on the way home from my club. and they stay open just as late as we do. right now i only have like 3 outfits. haha, i go in again tomorrow and will probably do some shopping afterwards.

I buy new outfits randomly as I see them and also buy outfits for resale which I sell at the rural clubs i work at for reasonable prices.

CK, we just bought 35 new outfits to sell, all priced from $31-$44, and if I worked with you, you'd have to buy 2-3 new ones from me. I'd keep you looking sharp and fresh, LOL.

When I started dancing, my seasoned coworkers taught me something that works well for me. I buy a new outfit, and when it earns me double what whatever new outfit I have my eye on costs, I buy.

Goodness - I have the one moneymaking outfit and its all I wear. 2 days a week, every week. I feel as long as I feel sexy in it and am making cash in it why waste $100 on some outfit Ill wear once? Been there done that, over it.

That is how you know it is time to get a new outfit!

I buy new outfits when I am feeling blah, when my $$ starts to drop off a little, and when I find a good bargain on sale. I rarely ever pay more than $20 for an outfit.

I keep my real "winner" outfits that everybody loves, and that make me a lot of $$. I discard the "experiments" that didn't work and anything that is looking worn or no longer fits properly. Then I rotate the old favorites and add in some new ones. At any given time, I will have in my bag porbably 2 new dresses and 4-5 standbys. That keeps me looking fresh and interesting, without my having to spend a ton of money. A lot of my customers remember the dresses from the last rotation. THey say things like "Oh, I'm so happy to see you in that dress. I love that dress on you!"

Over the past 2 years (that long??? YIPES!) I have built up a wardrobe of about 20 never-fail gowns, dresses, pant suits, jump suits, and negliges (sp?). I always have something to wear.

Here's what I do - I have 20 outfits - exactly twenty. I only carry ten at a time. I wear the same ten for a week, then I go home and switch one of the ten with one of the ones I have at home. I always have something new and fresh to wear, which boosts my mood and BOOM! Instant $.

Ok, I guess with that being said, it's time for me to go shopping. Maybe treating myself to 2-3 new outfits wouldn't hurt

It's a personal thing, but for me, I believe that it is best to be minimal with your purchases. So long as the outfit flatters you, it shouldn't matter if it is new or not. I am in this for the money, so I don't go spend a ton on clothes because it's such a waste. I do always buy something when I'm feeling blah though.....it's good to freshen things up a bit. Just make sure that you don't use buying clothes as a crutch to make yourself feel better all the time. Obsessions can be bad.

Because the punkish look sells at my club ("boy leg" panties and a tight tank top f'rinstance) I've been known to buy a cheap outfit when I'm not feeling like washing my damn clothes. Having Miracle Powers of Scrounge comes in handy for this. I can throw things together for under ten dollars at cheap shit stores, take the tags off when I get to the club, and get bunches of compliments and tips.

I don't know exactly how many outfits I have. I have zillions of panties, because they're cheap and mixable-matchable and I look best in black. I have about six pairs of stockings in my usual ensembles, and then a few more. A couple of miniskirts. I have a few dresses, a couple of bras, and then several tight tops/ tanks/camis.

I guess I buy a new outfit every three weeks to a month, on average.

I get bored with my outfits as well. I can sometimes spend over 200 dollars at the dancer store we have in town called Avant Guard... or on ebay cheaper, but I can't try any of it on, but at these stores I have found good stuff that fits well... and I always buy different shoes girls won't have... the taller the easier to dance in and lazy dancers won't wear them because they think they're too tall.

Here's some cool places to check out:

Ebay is sooo good for dancing stuff .... very addictive tho! lol

As for shoes... I love Tonys and have a fab pair with ballbearings in, so I rattle as I walk!

When outfits are like £1-£10 on Ebay its a bit hard to resist bidding galore!

I make my own, there is not a lot of good quality stuff here at a good price. I have heaps and sell them to new girls when I get bored or make something new that I like better.
My biggest outlay is shoes which I clean and repair on a regular basis. I only replace them when they have stretched too much to be a good fit anymore or when the straps break. I still only get a little more than 6 months out of the ones I wear a lot but at least they look fairly new during that time and don't smell.

Change up your outfits all the time. I have to working in NYC have new gowns and short dresses. In some places you can't have platforms on you shoes. It's seen as "trash".
I get short skirt two peices cause they are hot. Change up your outfits as much as possible. You want to have many different outfits to choose from accrding to the clubs dress code and your personal style.
Keep up with changing work accessories. New jewlery. Things for your hair. New Shoes.
Kepp your look changing espicially if you work at one club. the same people see you.

Me too! I have a couple of things I bought on an impulse and have never worn. I'm more picky about what I'll wear then buy....

But I think it's good to at least get a new outfit every 2-3 weeks. You'll feel special and love your new outfit, so it will show. Go shopping!

This is excellent advice. Where I work, it is about 70-90% regulars. Guys love variety, and they aren't going to get it if they always see the same girls in the same outfits. Obviously you can't be a different girl every night, but you can change your clothes.

I have had guys buy a second round of dances from me and only me, simply b/c I changed my clothes. I even had one guy tell me, as long as I kept changing clothes, he sould keep buying dances. He was almost the only paying customer in the bar, so believe me, I was changing clothes every 30 minutes. When I ran out of my own, I borrowed!
