Default 4-inch Pleasers as good as 6-inch Pleasers?

I'm browsing snaz75.com for comfortable high heels that aren't too tacky for OTC wear. This pretty much eliminates anything over 5 inches. However, the lower heel means no padding for the balls of my feet. I loved my 6-inch Pleaser shoes because they had some padding. These open-toed shoes and these barely-there stilletto sandals look cute, but do you think that they'll be more comfortable than regular heels? I know that they won't be as cushy or shock-absorbing as 6-inchers, but are they still ok?

My main complaints about regular high heels:

    1) Heels and soles that flex and put you off-balance and kill your back. I need a one-piece molded sole that will not flex.
    2) Painful to walk in mainly to no ball-of-foot padding (although gel inserts are made to make heels more comfy).

They aren't very comfortable for wearing out; I have a pair of 5" heels like the black ones and I only like to wear them for a short time.

I have a pair of 4" pleasers. They are more comfortable then regular heels. But not as cushy as the 6", they still don't hurt my feet. Although, I've never had to stand in them for a long period of time.

get an instep pad. My favorites are either cotton cloud or silver lining. they are the most comfy things ever. I used to wear cheap 7 invch heels by jante a few years ago and they had no padding on the sole. the instep pad made it possible to wear and work in them fo six hours. plus, they are fully removable, and you can even use the same pair in a nother pair of shoes. no gunky sticker type adhesive. they are super cheap too, about 3.50 for on pair.

Thanks. So, do the 4-inchers at least have a stable, one-piece plastic, no-wobble, no-flex heel and sole and a padded footbed?

The 4" Pleasers that I had did have the stable, one-piece plastic, no-wobble, no-flex heel and sole and a padded footbed. I loved those shoes so much. It was just like wearing my work shoes to go out in, comfort wise, but I didn't look like a 6'2" Amazon woman!

You also may want to consider checking out Candie's. I have had shoes by them that are almost like wearing my work shoes...
