    Default memory cards?

i'm not sure if i want this in hustle hut but i don't think this is a true form of hustle, but here is my thought/question:

has anyone used a dance card? i mean the card girls used back in the 30's and 40's at parties and dance balls. they way you used them was a suitor or guy walked up to a girl and asked if she wanted to dance so she took his name and wrote him on her "dance card" so he would be in line for a dance with her. i'm thinking about taking that concept and putting it to use in the club. it will help me remember the name of the guy/girl that requested a dance for me (it would work best when i am on stage) and i suppose let them know i am on the way. has any one used something like this? has it ever worked? would it be a bad idea to do in front of the guy or to just wait till he's walked off before i write him down? i know there are more things i need to improve on this idea but i was wondering if it could actually work.

let me know what you think about this. i'm kind of anxious about it but i think it just might work for a really busy night. take the card out and write down his name that way i can criss cross through the list to guys that i 'definately' need to go see so i don't get off track, then go sit with the strays i have not talked to yet.

thanks for your time reading this.

Why don't you just tell the guy what area of the room you'll be dancing in, and just tell him to meet you over there in like 5 min?

At my club when I get "in demand" there is usually like a line of guys waiting on me to finish up my dance. I dont' even get out of my booth, clothes on or anything before another guy is jumping in the seat to get a dance from me!

So if you start to build a line you'll have other customers definately taking notice in "that line on the other side of the room" and they'll want to see what all the fuss is about as well.

That is kind of a cute idea. Although, I don't know how well it would work unless all the other girls were doing it to. I'd think some guys might get offended if you say he has to write his name on a card to get in line for a dance. He'd probably just rather hear that you'll be back for him in a little bit. The older guys who know how the old dance cards work, though, would probably find it cute.

I think that is an awesome idea, so long as the way your club is set up, would make writing his name down look practical, not pretentious. Carry a cute little notebook and pencil in your purse and smile and say "Oh, I would love to! Here, let me write it down so I don't get distracted. " Then it will look like you are in demand.

Where I work, it would just look silly. In some clubs, it would be cool.
