    Default "Real Wage" calculator

This calculator factors in travel time, decompression costs, food @ work costs and more to figure out your hourly wage a bit more precisely than just your net income divided by your total work shifts. Very interesting... and a great motivational tool!

Dam, thank you for showing me. It really does make me feel a little better about how I'm doing business.

According to the data, I make approx. $20.57 as my hourly wage. Shi, that's a good job

Thanks! I just found out I make more money taking my clothes off than I did working for a large computer company!

that kind of thing alone made me want to quit my other job. i calculated my wages, and by giving 4 dances for my shift and going up on stage 3 times i made just under double the amount per hour i would make at davids bridal. and i honestly like dancing better

Ha! I made $200 in 2 nights as a newbie shot girl which is MORE then double my day job. I just quit and it felt so good! Because of the timing I couldn't give a two week notice which makes me feel bad so I'm going in tomorrow to show the other employee all the stuff I know on the machinery I use. Can't wait to go back in to work on Wednesday and I'll probably ask for more shifts then too. Hurting feet be damned I WILL make money and have a GREAT time doing it!

Holy Crap, that's and eye opener! I compared two different situations, working at my home club, and working on the road. When I work at home my hourly wage is about $12 but working on the road I make about $25 and hour.

I knew it felt like I was making more while traveling, but I just figured the reduced cost of travel expenses made up for the lower averages I make when dancing at home. Nope.

My daily commute is so huge, and gas prices are killing me these days. It's now cheaper for me to get a motel room and stay closer to the club, than it is to commute the 75 miles (one way) to my home club and sleep in my own bed.

now all we need is an after-tax calculator program, to show how much (or how little) of the money earned can actually stay in your pocket !

27.27... But luckily as Melonie said I already accounted for taxes as taxes are already taken out of my wages here.

75 miles Wow! That's a crazy commute, Paris. My commute is 38 miles both ways.

I haven't tried the link yet, but lately, I don't think I'll be too happy.

I am just going to throw a caution in here:

You really should not be posting how much money you make. While it may be unlikely that the IRS comes in here (LOL) posting of this information can put you in a bad position if you are not claiming the money you state you earn here.

    Just a caution.

    Carry on.
