Default Moving from Boston to L.A.! Club questions...

Originally, we were supposed to be moving to Texas but we decided to just move straight ahead and go to L.A.

I am unsure what part of L.A. we will be staying in YET..but wanted had some questions regarding the clubs in L.A.
Could anyone recommend a few decent ones? Low to No contact at all. I do best in a neighborhood club. I don't feel I have the L.A. "look" that would get me hired in a super upscale club. I am afraid that the auditions in L.A. might be very intimidating for me. I am told I have a beautiful face, and great curves, I don't look like a model, I dont have implants, and I am 5'0 110lbs. What clubs might like me? What clubs are doing well/might I do well in? I have even considered just waitressing (my guy likes thta option better), so if anyone had any good clubs to recommend, it would really really help me!

I am lost when it comes to moving out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I know nothing about L.A. because I've never been there, but if that's you in your avatar, I think you look great and you shouldn't have problems getting hired where you want!

You look blonde from your avatar pic so I think any club would hire you out in LA.
Wheres Alex Hex or Yekhefeh they are la based.

For sure you could get hired anywhere you want if that is you in the pic. Now as for doing well, if you are blonde I would suggest Orange County area clubs, they are for the most part low contact and they like blonds. Brunnette girls do well in the rest of LA for what I've seen. Most LA clbs are definately not upscale though. Several girls I've worked with came from Spearmint Rhino clubs ajd even though they are supposed to be on the upscale side even there they said its high contact and a good number of extras.

L.A. is a high-contact area for the most part. There is very little money to be made here (at least by stripping standards); we average around $200 on a decent night. And it's incredibly expensive to live here. I don't know why you're moving to L.A., but don't do it for the money. Your living expenses will suck up what little you make and then some.

Based on your description of yourself, I'd suggest you start at 4-Play and try to get hired there first. They usually like implants, but if you're skinny and blonde you should do well there even without them.

If you are a really skinny girl, I don't recommend the valley. (unless you go to Star Gardens in No Hollywood, but the money there is very hit and miss). The clubs in the valley seem to favor thicker, more "multi-ethnic" dancers.

There is one other club in Chatsworth, called the Candy Cat. I hear they tend to favor blonde dancers.

ok LA kinda sucks in terms of contact. you might consider working for exotic city, lingerie dreams, or venus faire all of those are deemed nude modeling. pretty easy as long as your ok with a guy masterbating. also cheetahs is a bikini bar in hollywood where no contact is allowed. if you're looking for a regular nude club you have to do contact so i would suggest sticking to those that are either topless or bikini and finding out their policies on touching usually its very mild to no touching. waitressing at the Rouge in Van Nuys is also a good option it pays 13/hour + tips which are usually really good if you are a good waitress and really pretty. i usually left with at least 200 in tips plus my paycheck every two weeks.

Yes, L.A. and Orange County are contact clubs. In addition, the averages tend to be on the low end. You probably will do better waitressing at a hip club in the city. If you are willing to venture out to do topless lapdancing, then I would suggest you following the Vegas Herd on the weekends and try your luck there. Many girls do it to maintain the LA lifestyle.

Kaiyla, you are violating the cardinal rules of stripping by cold turkey moving to another city without having tested the waters first.

LA is not what you think. Even though it is home to more than 16 million people in the metro area, it has never been known for it's strip clubs. There are NO upscale strip clubs there, and white people are the minority there. The white population of the entire metro area hovers around 35%. You are not in Manhattan. They would be happy to have a white face, but most of the customers are kind of rough around the edges, and some of the dancers don't take anny shit. Some clubs even go as far as to have separate dressing rooms. If you don't belong to a certain clique, you cannot enter the dressing room that you have not been "chosen " to enter, as you are invoking a turf war. The club managers condone this behavior.

One club I worked at briefly near the East LA area pissed off the gang members in the community and they tried several times to burn it down.

Being white and attractive, you may be seen as a threat to some of the ethnic dancers who are the majority in many clubs.

Clubs that sell alcohol are NOT popular there due to the restrictive contact laws that are enforced in clubs with liquor licenses. With only a few exceptions like Fritz in Bellflower CA which ia a busy full bar club, guys will avoid the full bar clubs in favor of nude juice bars which play 2 and 1/2 minute songs and are high contact.

The average price of a gallon of gas there is $3.37 at this time, and you can easily consume 2-3 tanks a week just getting around. Motel prices are ok, but rent will run you 4 figures a month.

I am not trying to scare you but it doesn't sound like you have been there and driven around the ENTIRE metro area before. I recommend you do this, physically check out a bunch of clubs, and see if the lifestyle in the LA merto area is truly for you.

Plus money is very slow there in the summer and lots of girls who are out of school are working which in many clubs will create a situation where there are more dancers than customers.

Working in Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, or El Paso Texas would be much easier for you as the clubs are nicer and more abundant, the customers and environment isn't as rough, there are many extended stay motels you can stay at with kitchens for $200 or so a week, the cost of living is lower, and it is a much easier lifestyle.

Unless you have another reason for going to LA which provides high stable income, it may prove to be a rough time for you guys.

I worked in LA for a bit and there's NO money to be made in California right now. It's industry-dead. Should've gone to Texas - money there.

Thanks for the input everyone. My bad though..I should have clarified.
I am not moving out to L.A. to dance, I'm moving out there just to try a different lifestyle with my bf of two years. He's big into the acting/music scene and wants to be where it's more likely to happen for him and since I'm his girl I'll be joining him for the adventure. I've always wanted to live somewhere warm and just...different from Massachusetts so we're packing up and heading west.
I was just thinking of a way to make some good quick cash until I get a regular job in L.A., and figured dancing might be the way to go for a month or two. Judging from the responses though, guess I was wrong! Perhaps I will go the waitressing route. Unfortunately, I am a horrible waitress...
Thinking of checking out some local temp agencies out there. As long as I make my bills, I'm happy.
