Default Totally confused about choosing a club

I am aware that travelling in order to dance entails a certain amount of risk . But now, I am totally confused. I live in Paris, and have two full weeks in june to travel and work somewhere before coming back home to organise the details of my trip to Japan (I need to make some money before I get there, in order to feel safe and secure, knowing that there is the possibility to fly out if something goes wrong - I do not want to have the club buy the ticket for me!). I would like to work somewhere in Europe but not in France. So, I made a list, took some pictures, and emailed many clubs in areas I am interested in. These were: Angels in Dublin (no reply yet), Lapello in Dublin (OK), Platinum Lounge in Chester, close to Manchester in the UK (OK), club Odal in Iceland (OK), St James in Portugal (advertised in the "book direct" section of laptastic.co.uk) (no reply yet - has the advantage of a salary instead of a fee) (no reply yet).
Of course, now that my enquiring process is underway, I just cannot decide on a club. Which is plainly stupid, especially since the forthcoming trip to Japan is much more adveturous. Any advice on choosing? The Platinum Lounge is upscale and has a "hostessing" aspect. Plus, it requires gowns (I cannot even decide whether this is positive or negative. Someone bash me, please!). Fees are max $90 on Saturdays (I have only worked on a salary basis - so *any* fee scares me). Lapello, on the other hand, is in a lovely oub area in Dublin (just perfect to have a relaxing juice afterwards). I tend to like this option.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I spent a little time in Club Odal in Reykjavik a couple of summers ago, and it was pretty dead...like 10 dancers and 2 or 3 customers might have been typical. I don't know if it is always like that, but someone told me that they are shut in by darkness and bad weather for so much of the year in Iceland that people don't want to spend much time indoors (including in SCs) during the few months when it is nice outside. And, of course, it is light pretty much 24 hours of the day in June because they are just barely below Arctic circle.

Anyway, did you ever decide where to go?

Yes! Off to Germany, to a club that pays a basic salary and airtickets. Even in the worst case scenario, I will get the money I need to pay for my ticket to Japan! And of course, I will be posting updates.
