    Default Creme de La Mer

Anybody use this stuff? I have for about a year and love it but I can't tell whether its improved my appearance instead of keeping it the way it is. I mean I can't tell whether it has made a positive difference on my face except that it just feels better than other products I have used in the past. I was even suckered into buying the new Body Creme. Both a whopping total of 400 bucks. Anybody think this stuff is worth it?

I like the original Creme for the face and the Eye Balm. I don't think everything else in the line is all that great although a lot of people swear by the Serum, too. Then again, I've never tried the $1500 concentrate or whatever it's called.

I had a client bring me a jar of 2 oz. Creme de la Mer when I was dancing. The main ingredient is mineral oil. I had combination skin, so the stuff did nothing for me. If it works for you, keep using it. The $1500 stuff is just a much bigger jar of the same stuff I used.

No, I'm not talking about the pound size of the Creme. They actually came out with a seies of vials that, if I remember correctly, added up to less than 3 oz of product and cost $1500. It was sold at select Neimans and Saks...

If I ever used such an expensive hydrating cream, I would continually be so pissed off at my consumerism, that I would end up with worse effects because of the stress.

That's ridiculously expensive. You could get weekly facials for like... ever... and probably end up with better skin for that price.

it is expensive, but there will always be a market for things that are outrageously expensive. My only gripe would be that I can't flaunt the label of a pricey face cream.

Well, you could always tatoo "Beautiful skin by Creme de la Mer" to your forehead.

I'm happy with my home remedies. I think it helps that I'm a SAHM now so I only wear make-up every once in a while. I don't think I could ever bring myself to purchase expensive (insanely expensive) cremes like that, though.

On another thought, I remember reading that "good" skin is inside out. If you are not eating the right foods, drinking enough water, etc that no matter what you put on your face, it's not going to change anything. I cannot remember where I read this, but (it's not perricone) it sounded pretty good...and it gave some great recipies to make that are good, healthy, and improve your overall skin condition.

Not worth it. At all. My ex's cousin worked for the company and found it funny that people were willing to pay for the stuff. It's definitely decent quality, but not worth the price. you can find better for much, much cheaper.
