Default Do any of you wear Chainmaille?

    Ladies,

I was curious if any of you wonderful women wore chainmaille of some fashion when you dance and how that works out for you all. Chainmaille bikini's or net like dresses or whatever.

The reason I ask is because I make that stuff and was thinking about making a scaled skirt and top set. My concern is that it might hurt the customers I dance on when giving my shots. When I put their hands on my hips for example would they be weirded out by the metal or would they think it was cool? Would it hurt them to grind on them wearing metal? Should it be something I only wear on stage when I make the jump to dancer and hold off while I'm a shot girl?

Just curious, I really want to show case my talent with the metal and do something unique.

I do sometimes, well not real chain mail but a metal bikini - Indian style. I only wear it on stage though. No negitive reactions yet - the only downside is that it's cold to put on in winter (-:

If you did a very fine mesh weave & put a bodystocking-type garment under the metal, I can imagine fetish-y- fantasy Dungeons & Dragons-types would be really turned on.

I would love to own chainmail garments, but I haven't come across anything yet-

I have a couple of chin mail pieces--a bikini top and a girdle--and I have not ahd a good reaction to them. Guys tend to be sort of intimidated.

Of you do use it, maybe you would have better luck using a few rows of chain as a trim on a costume, around the edge of a top or a skirt. Or lime madmaxine said, use a very fine material. The one I have is quite heavy.

I was thinking along the same lines as Colleen - having the chain mail used as accents (interspersed with cloth) to make them less intimidating and more tactilely receptive.

chainmail garments look great when walking around, but suck for stage performances and private dances because they hang unflatteringly when you're not walking about. some combination of chain and leather would be fine, but not outfits that are just chainmail dresses and such. a girl at my club recently tried to make a go of the chain-dress and the guys liked the look, but it ruined her stage tips.

I was definately thinking something softer and lighter would be better. I don't like the chunky weighed down look of most pieces that I see. Something fine like this...

I made this last year and the only downfall of making it light in weight is that it isn't strong. I'll need to redo it in a stronger metal and I want to change the design a bit.

What do you girls think about a chainmaille top, maybe something drapy to give me the option of bearing my breasts if I wanted, and a cloth type bottom with the trimming to tie it all together with maybe some cute boots?

I think as a top it's sexy but if the client touches by accident or not, it he will be turned off. A skirt should be a definite nono for lapdances but for stagework you probably look like a goddess...

That is a totally HOT top. If you graft/sew it to a nylon undergarment, wouldn't the strength of the metal be less of an issue? ( I have suffered nipple chap. LOL)

I could see a bikini bottom being "pinchy" on the butt. Why not miniskirts or half-chaps?

How the heck do you untangle your hair from that? I have enough problems with my hair inadvertantly getting stuck in my false eyelashes when I'm writhing about.

Not good for tabledancing, but probably awesome for low-impact stage work. I don't even wear sequins on the floor because they can be too abrasive...strippers should be soft!

MadMaxine, I actually have chopped all of my hair off, so it really isn't an issue. I was thinking it might be a problem on bottoms if I were to make some because I prefer to leave a "landing strip", as my BF calls it, of very short hair down there.

I was thinking a short skirt, and you all, this metal feels as silky as any fabric you can think of. The rings are TINY , smaller then 1/8th of an inch and completely even so it flows like material. The only time I can think it wouldn't be soft is during a lap dance that involved grinding and a lot of guys wear jeans and it wouldn't be worse for their hard on I'm sure then jeans already are. I was thinking on making the skirt shorter in any case, maybe just enough to show off my butt cheeks when I lean over. I'll figure out something and get back to you with my finished product.

There is a girl at my club that has worn a curb chain netted dress for a few nights and it doesn't seem to hurt her income or she wouldn't wear it repeatedly.
