    Angry Stupid A$$holes!

Grr... Tonight was crappy... Long story short, the manager working thought I was a little too chubby... I did one set, then he told the dj not to put me on the rest of the night... But this is AFTER I paid them their damn service bar and paid for my ride to and from the club... It pissed me off... I could have made more $$$ if the dj had put me on stage...
I just needed to rant a little... I was one of the first girls to pay the club in full (like I always do... no matter how dead it is)
What bugs me the most is the other night managers (and dj's) love me...
Whatever... stupid techno/house playing prick... He played house and techno most of the night... No wonder custys kept leaving...

Anyways, that's really my rant for now... Till next time!
    Kelly

*EDIT* 3:25 pm... I woke up, checked my messages and the agency called me to go back and work at that same club... hmm... I think they swallowed their words.

They were doing y9ou a favor by not putting you on stage. That's more time you can spend SELLING!

I agree. Sometimes I don't like going on stage because it takes away from my tabledances. I've lost money many times because I've had to leave a customer and go on stage and when I was done, they were getting a dance from another dancer.

While it can be nice to "advertise" yourself on stage. I always found that the less I went on stage and the more I was on the floor, the better I sold dances. Sometimes at my old club there were so many girls there that each girl would only go up a few times in the night. That was fine with me. On the nights where I was up every 45 minutes...it just throws a wrench in the wheel...hi, would you like a dance? 4-5 dances later, you get called up. Someone else moves in on your spender (not bad, but still). I hated that. I preferred to be on the floor 98% of the time.

Next time...just smile and walk away. Start hustling the floor.

Becky, you can't always tell who will buy from you from how much interest they show you on stage. Some guys are nonchalant acting. You should just go up to EVERYONE, introduce yourself, and ask them their names, if they go to the club much, what kind of work they do, blah, blah, blah, and then tell them " I know you're ready for some dances now, right, and keep on them until they buy. That's it. That's not hustling, that's a routine. It's easy, and comfortable now, right?

In another post you made I read you turned down guys who wanted dances. NEVER TURN DOWN MONEY!

In most larger clubs the stage isn't that big of a draw anymore Kelly514, BUT, in some clubs lack of stage presense hurts your money because the stage is more of a draw and stage tips are decent. In places like Vegas and Houston the stage wasn't important, and in Phoenix the tips weren't great, but it provided some advertising.

I'm sorry to see you had to deal with the asshole manager. Those types are running the customers out of the clubs. Those are the ones that don't realize that thicker girls are more in demand nowadays. They are stuck on the skinny, breast enhanced, white girl image. I call techno and house music crowd whitening music as clubs that play it do so to keep the club neutral and keep the non whites out.

What is the money flow like in your club? Can you sell a lot of dances there or is the stage a big draw?

The money flow is great. I have an excellent hustle and am not afraid to approach ANYONE! He was just trying to be a prick I guess. It brought me down for all of 5 mins... Then I said fuck it... I worked my magic on the floor and made $$$!!!! The stage isn't that big of a draw (no clients tip us on stage), but sometimes clients want to see you work your stuff on stage before they buy dances. And when they do that, it just means they will get more dances from me (almost 95% of the time) I'm gonna go shopping later for some new work stuff... It'll put me in a better mood... Thanks ladies for all your support!!!

This is not a way to find out who likes you. You'll just know who likes you and is sitting next to the stage. I found that my biggest spenders were the ones sitting away from the stage and just watching. When you first start, you are usually shy...however, in this business if you do not overcome the shyness of approaching people, you will not make the money that CAN be made.

Approach each and every customer. Will you get a ton of turn-downs? Probably...but you'll also make a ton of money because the guy you didn't see when you were on stage is going to spend money on you. Most guys do not approach the dancer, they wait for the dancer to approach them. Go to it! There's money to be made!!

    Hi Becky,

You might be helped by reading some books on sales techniques. I know it helped me. The one I used was "How to Sell Anything to Anyone".
The essential humanity of men can be protected and preserved only where government must answer--not just to the wealthy, not just to those of a particular religion, or a particular race, but to all its people.

    Update****
I went to work last night (at the same club) and did 3 stages... I guess it was either the manager/dj that night that didn't want to put me on stage. Either way... things are ok now... Working tonight too... did a double yesterday... Things are getting WAY better...

Life is a roller coaster - sometimes there are downs - sometimes there are ups... and like a roller coaster - getting up takes a lot longer than going down!
